Oh yes - I almost hit the 15 drink limit upon my Oct cruise, was at Great Spirits & ordered a double for a nightcap, told me I only had 2 drinks left, I couldn't muster the fortitude (having my head in shame).

I doubt if I'll approach my 15 limit unless my husband helps me. ☺️

We had the same cabin for b2b with one of the extended balconies. They wanted to move us to a regular balcony. Now we are port side with extended balcony, but will have to change cabins. No big deal. Only 2 cabins away.

Same thing happened to us. They moved us to Baja with a regular sized balcony when I had booked my dolphin cabin specifically for the extra large balcony. Fortunately, we had sailed on the Sky and knew that sun deck cabins had larger balconies although it doesn't show it on the deck plans. We managed to score the same cabin we had on the Sky. It's very high and forward (thank goodness we don't get seasick) but it is also only steps away from the retreat pool (and bar!) and all outdoor areas. I guess that's a good thing during Covid....making lemonade here....

A question about the 2 dining rooms, Capri & Amalfi.. what is the difference between the 2? I see Amalfi is aft & must have a better view of the sea..Capri is mid ship.. I can only guess Capri must be easier to get to because of their weird elevator & location on the decks situation..I saw a guy on YouTube do a review & mentioned that the Amalfi was more difficult to get to..advise?

The two restaurants are essentially the same except for location. They have the same menu. They have about the same layout. The paintings on the walls will be different.

As far as the view, most people are not seated next to a window. And since the aft restaurant is used in the evening, it is likely that it is dark outside much of the time it is in use.

The aft restaurant is really not difficult to get to. It can be reached only using the aft elevators and stairs. The aft elevators and stairs can be reached easily from any deck except they cannot be reached from the center and forward ends of decks 5 and 6 and the Sports deck and above.

I am not sure why there are many comments about how difficult it is to reach the aft dining room. I have been on a number of cruise ships on other cruise lines and they also have restaurants which are not directly accessible from lower deck center and forward locations, but I do not see comments on their Cruise Critic forums about how hard it is to reach the aft dining room. Sometimes there will be a sign telling passengers to go up a deck and then go aft and down again (see the bottom of the below photo; can click on the photo to enlarge it a bit).

We are aft area on deck 9. We’ve learned to go up or down from the back to get almost everywhere. It’s not terribly inconvenient at all, due to the low number of guests. It’s not crowded anywhere.

The food remains good, though we have had a couple of misses.

This feels like a once in a lifetime opportunity, to experience ship life with so few fellow passengers.

A highlight for us is that thee is no smoking anywhere inside, so the casino is lovely. Smoking is only allowed aft on decks 7 and 17. I wonder if this increases the casino’s revenue. We definitely don’t feel the need to leave when we get too stinky.

I love those Sun Deck balcony rooms!

Less passengers probably means less revenue whether or not smoking is allowed.

We are booked into S208 on the 2/18 departure.  Hoping this is one of the staterooms you are referring to.  Looking forward to the close proximity to the bar there.....perfect for happy hour.  Looks like they stay open to 6.  Then time to find a bar below.  Since they don't have a Vines, perhaps the crown grill bar?

IF possible, can you post the name of the officers on the Enchantment? Whatever ways..from the Princess Patter, or a list from Guest Services..I am in charge of our Roll Call for 2/28 and even though officers are routinely invited to the CC Princess & M & G, I would like to invite them personally..if you can't find it, no problem, I will get it when I board Feb. 28..thanks!! 👌 😎

Trying to attach photo for you and hope it works

Coffee syrup, just like ground coffee, comes in a variety of quality levels.

Many fine restaurants on shore use syrup, but use a high quality and more costly one.

It is suspected that Princess is not purchasing the highest quality syrup available.

We take our preferred coffee brand's instant coffee with us and spoon it into whatever shows up from room service - straightens it right out.

Currently on the Enchanted.  At the CruiseCritic meeting today, we were told that there are 1,694 passengers - making it about 46% of capacity.  And the Captain announced that there is a full complement of crew on board, at 1,226.  Pretty good passenger/crew ratio!

I have been following this thread and reviewing the Patters.  I would appear that there have not been any production shows in Princess Theatre.  But when I reviewed the Patters from the Live From Enchanted Princess thread for the 11/10 sailing, they did show the Rock Opera production number.

Perhaps the cast has been depleted by quarantining since then?  Does anyone have any insight on this?

There were production shows on the Christmas cruise.

I have heard that people really like the extended balconies. What did you think?

We loved ours! There was room for footstools!

The balcony isn't huge but definitely better than the normal Royal class balcony - you can sit facing forward rather than sideways. We definitely spent a lot of time at the Retreat pool and the bartenders got to know us quite well!

Don't change your cabin because the quarantine deck seems to change between sailings.  We lost our cabin on the Caribe deck.

Thanks but I decided not to chance it!  I upgraded to a mini suite on Baha 415 a nice big balcony like I started with...I ate the cost of a upgrade to be happy with my balcony and I get to try a mini suite for the first time! Hoping there are footstools on the balcony!

I hope the casino will be smoke free for my March 30th cruise!

We were in S214. Yes that bar is only open 10am to 6pm but by 6pm the Retreat Pool area is pretty much deserted. If we were in our rooms we would usually grab one last drink and some water bottles right before it closed. Our bar of choice in the evening was Good Spirits.

By any chance do you know if that bar serves coffee during in the very early morning when the IC is closed? I was surprised to see that the IC closes down now.
