Good morning friends!  Just popping in before I pack up my laptop, to say we are heading north on I-75 to Ann Arbor this morning.  It's a little over 250 miles.  We will spend most of this workweek with DS and family then had back down here to Cincy Friday to spend a couple more nights.  We would have driven home next Saturday but since the 13th is DH's birthday we will celebrate here in Ohio and go home the day after, Sunday.

Thanks everyone for your contributions here today, Rich, Roy, Debbie, Dixie and Ann.  That chicken stir fry looks delicious!  A true quote!  Enjoy posting your cat photos today as we celebrate Cats!  No zucchini to give away, but DD is growing a pumpkin plant from a seed in last school year's classroom.  She had her first flower on the pumpkin plant and is taking the pot to school to show this year's science students how far it's come.  However I do like zucchini bread so wish we had some.  No summer olympics this year I'm pretty sure, but we can celebrate every summer.  Have not been to Semerang before, just Bali (Benoa).  It was listed here once before on Dec. 3, 2021.

Prayers today for all in need and cheers for everyone with happy news.  Thanks Rich for posting our Daily today!  I will see you all later when we get settled in up north.  Have a great day!

57 degrees and a bit of remaining rain.  We have been lucky this summer that our rain has mostly come at night and the news said we are 1.5" above average for the month.  We are very happy to be here where it is so hot elsewhere.  My DS and my niece are up here for a whirlwind visit.  We will have them here for dinner.  Thank you for the Daily Reports and the care and celebration lists.  Have a great day.

The Daylilies are still blooming and I had my last Japanese Iris open yesterday. It needs to be divided but I always wait until all blooming is done.

I love all the cat photos.

I have posted this before where my oldest brother is holding our Persian 🐈 with me standing next to him almost 50 years ago.

Monty our cat named after our Football clubs goalkeeper was about 7 at the time.

Graham.

Good morning Dailyites. Thank you to all who are loyal contributors.

Prayers lifted for our care list. It's shrinking! Cheers for our celebration list. It's growing! I hope Little Shadow and @kazu are both having fun in training.

We used to joke at church to keep your car windows and doors locked or you'll have a bag of zucchini sitting on your seat and it was true.

I like today's recipe ideas. Thanks Debbie. But if I could chose I would take Roy's veal chop.

Tonight is game night here. There's 9 of us tonight. Everyone brings a dish to share and BYOB. Darn temperature will be back to 100 the next few days and weather changed on chance of showers. It's a pretty bad situation here.

Sandi safe travels today. Enjoy the family!

Prayers, Cheers and Blessings. Xx

Good morning, thanks for the Fleet Report and Daily!  Sochi will be delighted to know it is International Cat Day; there are no summer olympics this year, and we've been known to drop zucchini on doorsteps in the past.  When DH still had the farm and we had a big garden, it was always a struggle to use up the plentiful zucchini.  After a couple of years, the neighbours pretty well knew who the "gifts" came from, so we went a few blocks away and dropped them off to strangers.  LOL

It's a beautiful, sunny day out there right now, but it's going to get hot - we're expecting to hit around +33C (91F).  I know for some of you that's just the lower end of warm, but we will certainly be closing up the house in an hour or two to preserve some of the cool air before the a/c has to be turned on.

Not a lot on the docket today - DH has to go for his 3 month blood work, and then we'll go for breakfast after, as he has to fast.  After that, we'll likely hit the grocery store and head for home where the laundry awaits.   I can't wait to get onto a BHB where they'll do my laundry again; that's always somewhat of a luxury for me.

@smitty34877having recovered appetites is a good thing - hopefully you'll all regain your strength soon as well.

@StLouisCruiserssafe travels to you!

I do like today's menu suggestion, and even though it means having to cook in the heat, I can do it on the side burner on the barbecue.  We've always got chicken breasts in the freezer and veggies in the fridge, so tonight's dinner will be easy.  Chicken stir fry with a side of rice will be what's happening on our dinner table tonight.  And wine.

Prayers for everyone who needs them and even for those who don't think they do. Extra for the people of Ukraine and for the ships loaded with grain that are finally moving to feed the world.  We'll clink our glasses to cheer everyone on the happy list.  Be well, get your boosters, wear masks when needed, and stay safe.

Smooth Sailing!  🙂🙂🙂

Good hot and sunny morning. The real feel is already 94, tomorrow is the same. My fur babies believe every day is cat day. They send greetings to any international cats on here.
Blessings and prayers to all on our lists. 🙏❤️

Good morning from beautiful Key West Florida.

Day 2 on our Western Caribbean cruise on the Equinox. 2,300 on board.

So far everything has been great.

Embarkation was a breeze, meals have been very good. Great show last night with a group called the Company Men who sang songs from Motown to oldies rock and roll.

Looking forward to tonight’s show which will have a lady vocalist featuring Whitney Houston songs.

Speciality restaurants are getting pretty pricey with Murano now charging 60 dollars per person. You can get a package for 179 dollars for 4 specialty restaurants which is a more reasonable but we’ve been on this ship 4 times
and the food in the MDR has always been very good.

We are at sea tomorrow and Grand Cayman on
Wednesday.
Thanks for The Daily, stay well and have a great day.

Pleased to hear you are enjoying your cruise.

Respect for your new avatar which is great.

Graham.

For some reason I couldn't get the photo to attach to my post above, but I had to share Sochi with you today.

Sochi is a lovely colour and gorgeous.

Good morning all. The weekend got away from me, family time at two different pools. Absolutely wonderful considering the feels like temperature was about 104f.

Sitting here this morning listening to the rain on the roof. We hope it continues at this pace for most of the day. We are so dry and our farmers really need the rain.

quiet week ahead. Dh has an appointment with an eye specialist regarding cataract surgery.

prayers for those that need them, celebration later for all celebrating.

I was delighted with the cataract ops on both my eyes as I only need reading glasses now and not the expensive varifocals I had.

Good luck to your husband on his appointment.

Graham.

Cool this morning and we had a lovely rain last night..... but the roof leaked again at the shelter. Same place. The roofer is due back this morning. I am considering roping him to the roof in the rain and see if he can find it then. Hope he gets it this time. We may get showers again this afternoon. I am not signing off on the work until after a heavy rain with no leak.

Stir fry sounds (and looks) good. As to the days.... I have not had one for many years although we always had them when I was child. I do take care of my neighbor's kitties when she travels. Don't think my dogs would be too happy with one in the house. I used to have a garden which did produce lots of zucchini but the deer discovered it and I had to give it up. I miss growing my own veggies. Fortunately there is a farm stand close by.

Take care all. Hope Shadow is progressing. Monty is getting better although he is still very timid outside. He is, finally!!!, getting the housebreaking thing down.

Susan
