Don't come early. You will be turned away.

Too late! We flew in this a.m. and had just gotten in a taxi headed for the port when we received RCCL's message at 10 a.m. Surely they knew and could have notified us way before that. ☹️

Lived and cruised in that area for five years. I always tell people not to book super early flights due to the fog issue. No one ever believes me 🤷🏻‍♀️

You can't predict the weather and an early morning arrival might be the only flight available that will allow you to board the ship before it leaves. Remember those of us that don't live in Florida make our flight arrangements months in advance.

I could be wrong but I think they might be talking about flights returning home after the cruise.

I wasn’t referring to arrivals.  I was referring to departures. Many people have missed their early flights home because the ship couldn’t enter the channel due to fog.

Correct but fog is a major issue this time of year in Tampa. Based on weather this coming week, fog maybe around for several days. Also Holland America stopped sailing out of Tampa a few years ago due to fog issues.

I'm on Serenade, and was told by an officer that once the ship starts moving, it will be four hours before we dock in Tampa.  Add to that the logistics involved in disembarking, luggage, etc., and he told me I would not make my 3:45 pm. flight (which Southwest said has been delayed to 4:30).  They are now serving lunch in the Windjammer, and several bars and pools are open.  Casino is closed.  I feel bad for those who were scheduled to board today.

Since when do you think they knew about the fog this morning?
