EleventyBangBang Posted February 25, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2023 Like, always remove it as a general rule, or just would be willing to remove it if the situation truly warranted it?

Agreed. There has been one time in 51 cruises that I have removed them for a very strong reason, but as I general rule, I prepay before the trip and supplement onboard. George C Posted February 26, 2023 #12 Share Posted February 26, 2023 I find it sad that this many people would be so cheap to remove auto tips . On the other hand cruise companies should just pay there employees a higher wage . 3 1

goldfish65 Posted February 26, 2023 Author #16 Share Posted February 26, 2023 (edited) I replied to a Eleventybangbang who asked for clarification. I don’t really care if anyone replies, I was attempting to make it a straightforward poll without getting into the usual bickering. No. Here all over in Europe the salaries of the service staff is by EU/national laws much much higher than in the USA. They do not live on tips here. If tipping, mainly because exceptional service was delivered. 3 2
Rare jean87510 Posted February 26, 2023 #23 Share Posted February 26, 2023 What is the obsession with tip removal? Can someone answer that? Preferably someone who it actually matters to (the staff or Royal) can answer. I have read the other reasons. Many times. And I don't know why I read them. I suppose it's because I'm trying to see a person who has been a victim of tip removal actually answer.

The person who is the victim of tip removal probably can't afford to waste their costly and rare internet time on Cruise Critic. 1
