She does work hours in the morning as well, not sure what those are, is usually in the hall before 9.  Cleans our room about 10.

Ours also.  We have a great steward, I might add!!

Way to go, Lisa! 😎 I was too late. Had to find a spot in the Solarium.

At least you’ll be occupying those chairs — unlike many others there yesterday  where it was clear the towels were placed in the early morning and unoccupied most of the day 🙄

Lisa just told me that the people beside her yesterday didn’t show up until 3pm and picked up all their stuff. They had 6 chairs from 9-3 and didn’t use them at all.

They were in street clothes, when they arrived. Good chance they went on an early excursion and never used the chairs at all.

Cat’s A Sea Dog Review

"Ladies and gentlemen, gather 'round because I have a tale to tell. A tale of a musical so wild, so wacky, so utterly ridiculous, that it will leave you in stitches. I am, of course, talking about the one, the only, "Cats"!

6760F083-3406-436B-8781-3FE955FF5493.thumb.jpeg.dc67c967eb8bf0f30ddb7c9b49a1bb82.jpeg

Where do I begin? The costumes? Oh, the costumes. Picture a bunch of grown adults, covered head to toe in fur, prancing around like they're auditioning for a role in a Disney movie. And let's not forget the makeup. Whiskers, cat ears, and glitter, oh my!

F398F978-71B2-41DF-BD62-EA3344E1A3DA.thumb.jpeg.f450c51a29d1335f0315e5eedbf20ed4.jpeg

And the music? Oh, the music. It's like Andrew Lloyd Webber took a handful of cat sounds and turned them into a symphony. I half expected the orchestra to break out into a round of "meow meow meow" at any moment.

FEDB5AC0-F73D-4748-9222-862AA3E51B15.thumb.jpeg.be8a154bcc03a3e291fc4f4794da8d5c.jpeg

And the plot? Well, there really isn't one. Just a bunch of cats singing and dancing about, trying to be chosen as the one to ascend to cat heaven. It's like a feline version of "The Hunger Games," but with less death and more sparkles.

But the real star of the show?

The choreography. Picture cats doing the "Single Ladies" dance, or a tap routine set to "Memory." It's like a fever dream, and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s really performance art. I’ reminded of the great Stravinsky ballet “Le  Sacre du Printemps or the “Rite of Spring.” When audiences first saw it in the early 1900’s they hated it with its weird music (synth parts here) and the wild choreography.

So, if you're looking for a good laugh, a dose of nostalgia, and a healthy dose of absurdity, then "Cats" is the show for you. Just don't blame me if you find yourself singing "Memory" in the shower for the next month.

In short, I can't recommend this musical enough, it's a roller coaster of emotions, a true spectacle that will leave you in awe and laughter and maybe scratching your head thinking, what was that about?

They really should come up with something along the lines of "if your chairs are unoccupied for XX amount of time, your things will be collected by staff and you can collect them at towel desk" or something like that. You know people come out and put stuff out and go back to cabin to sleep more or get ready for the day.

They were actually doing that on Odyssey... for real.

More people are starting to percolate to the pool area. Saved seats are starting to fill up.

Yesterday there was a late afternoon report that two pools had a code 💩 and were closed. Can’t confirm first hand. We saw it reported on social pages.

I think my cabin must be last as he gets to me about noon. I asked today and they had a meeting until 10 am and another guy said maybe my guy went to breakfast as at 10:10 no sign of him. I asked and he said hours are from  9 to 1 .. ok. Not by my watch.

I said to him just now usually before now we have disembark info left on the bed. He says today he will leave it. He can do my cabin now,  but I said no thanks. It just seems later than normal to leave the whole scan to plan and disembark info. I went and asked at customer service.

I may have placed a few towels on two loungers in the Solarium and then went for brunch in the MDR 👹  total time away from my seat was 50 minutes….if you can’t beat them, join them

Location, location, location

brunch in the MDR opened at 9. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were seated immediately. The lines when we left were long.

great experience, compared to the windjammer or even the solarium. They’ve been packed all week in the morning. I really miss the breakfast service on deck 15 (what is now El Loco fresh) . On some oasis class ships it’s open in the mornings, and it’s my favorite spot…. Brunch menu

I couldn’t find an available lounger in the Solarium at 8:45, most occupied only by towels. The Solarium Bistro didn’t open until 9:30 am so I went back to the cabin, collected Andy and we came back for breakfast.  They had just opened the outdoor seating area up front so we got two loungers but it’s very very windy. Still a warm, beautiful sea day so no complaints here - other than the awful WiFi and even worse MDR seating @&$!-show.

I hope you saw those cinnamon rolls. Best I've seen on a ship. Lots of stuff on them.

Yea I too was surprised solarium opened so late.

Chair Hog report. Lisa arrived at 7:30 and this is what she found at the beach pool. Sun was not up yet. She got 2 chairs in the back row.

Shame. Shame.

Looks like she’s getting eyeballed hard especially by the one lady who’s got 14 loungers reserved 🤔

Just be glad there isn't dollar signs on each chair for a chair rental with the first row chairs costing more then the rows behind the first row..  😲 They could start doing that anytime for all we know!

We don't like to get up too early on vacation, especially on a sea day.  If we can't find seats together in the Solarium, we'll head to the top deck to try to find two seats together. Cooler and less noisy up there anyway.

I'm going to be hearing the echoes of children yelling long afterwards lol. I saw a post claiming 2k teens onboard. We have lots of children for sure.

At least in the solarium area only age 16 and up allowed supposedly.

So, yesterday my bad knee got worse, and this morning I couldn't walk on it. We had no choice but to have me wheeled down to medical.  They did what they could, which was to give me a wheelchair and a cane. I would like some crutches but they convinced me that was not a good idea. We have a 9 pm flight tomorrow and we're planning to do a hop on hop off tour to pass the time, but now that's out.  We may just end up spending the day at the airport.  Yikes.  I'm not sure what to do about that. Can I cry now?
