much as I love the great photos, and history,  bringing back  many memories...this is my fav  ofvthis group.. The smile says it all!

That Photo even got me a message from my Favorite Mother --- OK my father had 6 of them and Penny was my age.   She is the only one I stay in touch with.

Photos do bring back memories.   He father had been stationed at Fort Drussey and she remembers the exact spot i was standing.

I asked last night and it was a Spicy Mango Margarita  -  You are correct it was Tajin on the rim, Mango Juice, Taquilla, Cointreau and Jalapeno.

Mango 🤔

I would have take my wife to medical 😁

No mango for her

He always shower first and when finished folds his towed on top of the bath mat.    Covering the door stop.

My DW had covered the one on Reflection with the bath mat but that just hid it from me and i managed to step right on the thing as I got out of the shower.  I late hit my toe on it going to the bathroom early one morning.  I found that I had to be very careful getting out of the shower / tub as it seemed to be exactly where I want to plant my foot.

That is what I Love most about the Celebrity Suite, a separate bedroom. DW is not an early riser so I can get up and enjoy the cabin and deck while she sleeps.

Cheers!

The only negative is that glass partition between the bedroom and living room.   While it allows light in vs the M-Class total darkness...   It allows light to pour in ---disturbing those that sleep late.    Iain's going to buy some eye shades today.

You should have saved the ones from your United Polaris kit.  I find them very comfortable.  I plan to keep mine for use on the cruise, if needed.  Not many sea days.

... but we've never been to the Caribbean. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Perfect way to travel.   Save the Caribbean for when you are old and want to stay closer to home.

I'll be honest .... Africa is on my Bucket List --- I know it sounds lame but I want to go on a Safari.   Ugh... you can imagine me getting Iain out of bed for a trek across the Serengeti at sunrise.   OK.... maybe i leave him in bed to be eaten by a Lion.

Thanks for asking Jim.  Too spicy for my tummy.

Andy said it wasn't that spicy... She is from Arizona so loves really hot...

I usually don't use it much but siting out there now as we approach Hilo.    Perfect 72F and while it is currently in the morning sun it is very comfortable.

It's a shame they removed the wonderful thick padded lounge that was once on all those slant CS balconies.  The cushion when in the sun was like a body length heating pad, felt great on arthritic bones!!

OK... all this talk about drinks made me adventurous.   Instead of my regular Alcohol Free -  Fre  I had Lucy make me a   VIRGIN Pina Colada

Unfortunately no Pineapple 🍍 garnish.

The mango might cutback some of the heat, lime not so much.  You should try a virgin one.🍸

I'll give it a pass... I really don't like hot spicy...  I like a little heat but all too often I get food which too much spice.   No my daughter is the total opposite.

They were comfy but if I recall they showed their age really quickly basking in the sun every day.

Time for some requested food porn.   Last night was the first Chic night.   Noticed very few jackets and only one woman in a beautiful dress

Appetizer was a huge Roasted Squab.

Comment re bath tubs..We disiked the one on BEYOND ( sky suite).  It was oversized & Combined with the  shower..  It took up alot of space,  was very slippery and did not have enough grab handles..felt dangerous..used it once!

We have one tub at each of our homes.  Our grandbabies love it..and us too... therapeutic when needed to soak!

Nice try X but rather have just the shower!

I wonder if that is the same as the tub/shower in the Signature Suite on Reflection.  Humongous jetted tub (the bottom jets hurt my feet) with a tacky shower curtain.  Was convinced the tub was trying to kill me.

Thanks, Jim.   We just learned something new from you today.  We had never opened the CS sofa but definitely have slept on it when DH snores!  Thanks for all the time you take to educate us and to bring us along on your fantastic adventures.  We look forward to sailing with you and Iain again one day soon.  Mike and Mary

Cannot do squab:

In culinary terminology, squab is a immature domestic pigeon, typically under four weeks old, or its meat. Some authors describe it as tasting like dark ...

Also no quail..

They roam our backyard in Fl..known there as BOBWHITE

I am ok with chicken, turkey & duck..never tried goose

Jim you and Iain have lived such a fascinating life. I hope our paths cross sometime so I can just listen to you.

Thank you again for being such a valuable asset here at Cruise Critic

We'll actually finally get there later this year.

We'll cruise across from San Juan, Puerto Rico, then up the Amazon River to Manaus, Brazil. Then we will fly to Panama City and board another ship. We'll sail through the Panama Canal, and back across to Florida. We only have a few Caribbean ports, but I think that will be enough.

-----

One of the things we are doing in Africa is five days at the Marriott Masai Mara, which includes up to two safaris a day. We are using a LOT of points, but I figure this is a fantastic use for them. I'd rather run out of money and points than run out of time, and time is ticking loudly!

Thanks for posting a video of the stateroom, we will be in this cabin next month to Alaska. We too prefer the S class ships over the Edge class, not that the E Class is bad, it just wasn’t a perfect fit for us. Enjoy!

Jim,  I forget the name but  there is a good plate lunch place in the food court at Ala Monana Center (Mall).  Fair warning, based on your eating habits, I would recommend you only buy one as it will be enough for you and Iian to share.

There are a lot of good places to eat in that food court.  There is also a Foodland grocery store on the lower level in a far corner where we got some delicious poke.

Best poke at Foodland! We get it all the time.

Just randomly ran across your post.  We are on the Edge 6 days out from Honolulu. 😘

I highly recommend Orchids at the Halekalani for lunch. If you're there for the evening see the show at the "House Without a Key". Their Haupia Cake is to die for.

No problem with Squab.   It's just a bird.   I've had Pigeon in the Netherlands and Sparrow in France.    Even though I use to live on Quail Run I loved quail.    I just don't let they species bother me.

I remember as a kid when my dog caught a squirrel and my Grandfather taught me how to skin it for dinner.
