Working 2 Cruise Posted October 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Yikes, seems you have a lot of complaints! Food average, uncomfortable seats, etc. That is how you come across. Sorry your cruise was not to your very high expectations. Maybe try Oceania next time, I hear the food is fantastic.
Pam in CA Posted October 23, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2017 I’ve sailed on the Royal several times and didn’t think anything about the seats. They seemed fine to me. I am NOT a supermodel or even close.
Potstech Posted October 23, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Attended several things at Princess Live recently and had no problem with the seats. Are you sure it was the seats and not what was put in them?
Lucky TGO Posted October 23, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 23, 2017 I have been on the Royal Princess and think the seats are fine in the Theater. The seats that are terrible are the ones in Princess live. Tony
antsp Posted October 23, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 23, 2017 It’s not so much that Princess Live is a terrible place in itself. It’s only terrible when you compare it to Explorers Lounge

bigmjh Posted October 23, 2017 #8 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Agreed! Specifically on the Royal / Regal the Princess Live seats are the smallest, most uncomfortable seats I've ever encountered on a ship.
Lucky TGO Posted October 23, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 23, 2017 And Princess Live! is the subject of this thread, not the Princess Theater. Mr. Caribill, I stan corrected. What time will the firing squad be assembled?? No blind fold will be necessary!! I can take what ever is coming to me with my eyes open. Thank You, My last words, It must be Great to have never made a mistake.:rolleyes::rolleyes: Tony
satxdiver Posted October 23, 2017 #10 Share Posted October 23, 2017 If by posting about the seats in theater live, the OP really is asking about the seats in the Princess Live venue, then yes I would have to agree. I have found the seating and arrangement to be very uncomfortable. Luckily for me I did not have any desire to go to the programs in that venue as I did not find them interesting. elycelynne Posted October 23, 2017 #11 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Yes, the seats in Princess Live! are extremely narrow. Unfortunately, both karaoke and "name that tune" (two of my favorite activities) were held there, so I just had to grin and bear it.
Sacto Rick Posted October 23, 2017 #12 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Agreed! Specifically on the Royal / Regal the Princess Live seats are the smallest, most uncomfortable seats I've ever encountered on a ship. Apparently you haven't sat in the love seats in the Grand Princess Explorer's Lounge. Now THOSE are the worst seats on the 7 sea's..:loudcry:
Level six Posted October 23, 2017 #13 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Hate Princess live in every way. But, the seats are especially bad(comfort and design). Once when we were playing trivia, a young, thin man stood up to take an answer to the front and the bottom came out!! It has a bottom that drops down to be able to fold them, no kidding. After that I was scared to sit on the chairs fearing the bottom would collapse. Just a bad mistake on Princess's part getting rid of explorer's and replacing it with this, IMO. srpilo Posted October 23, 2017 #14 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Just a bad mistake on Princess's part getting rid of explorer's and replacing it with this, IMO. +1 Just one of the many things for me that's leaves me with a negative feeling of the Royal class ships. Lucky TGO Posted October 24, 2017 #16 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Agree. Sknight, Wow!!! I hope Mr. Caribill doesn’t see your answer. If he does you might have to stand next to me in the firing squad. . Tony
LSGDRG Posted October 24, 2017 #17 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Don't get these seats (chairs), are they built for super models? Does anyone have any idea of the seat pitch/width? Are they suitable for someone 6'5 and big?
Micahs Grandad Posted October 24, 2017 #18 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Been on Royal twice and Regal once and do not remember not liking the seats. Only complaint is they use Princess Live for events that are heavy draws and not enough room for everyone.
Optotronics Posted October 24, 2017 #19 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Does anyone have any idea of the seat pitch/width? Are they suitable for someone 6'5 and big? No they are not. Princess live seating is a little tighter than most airlines. I would say seat pitch of 16" based on my plane seat being 17" and princess live seating being tighter. It's really more comfortable to just stand. The large princess theater I would say are equal to most coach airline seating and a little more comfortable; but not much. easyboy Posted October 24, 2017 #20 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Does anyone have any idea of the seat pitch/width? Are they suitable for someone 6'5 and big? Better to try the seat first when there is no show yet. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
LSGDRG Posted October 24, 2017 #21 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Thanks for the responses! We will try the seats out before a show/event to see if they work for us. Hopefully there will also be enough room for scooters/wheelchairs.
richsea Posted October 24, 2017 #22 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Don't get these seats (chairs), are they built for super models? I didn't notice anything unusual about the Princess Live seats, but thought the Princess Theater seats on Royal were designed only for thin people.
