Back to back cruise benefits or perks?

Recommended Posts

Not finding the page, but there is a $50 or $100 (depending on length of cruise) additional benefit for booking B2B. But that may be through the TA.

In addition, there are other perks: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/contentPage.do?pagename=consecutive_cruisers

Must be through a TA. We've never received a discount from RC for booking any of our B2Bers. Now with Celebrity we have.

Never got that and have been on many B2Bs. Must be a TA thing.

I guess I need a new TA. I get good TA benefits, but nothing associated with a B2B. On Oasis class we generally get a nice lunch at Giovanni's,( un hosted and no alcohol) but often on a 3/4 night B2B, there are few consecutive cruisers, so we get nothing.

Years ago, we seemed to have the whole morning to enjoy an empty ship. Now they round us up by 9:30, we wait at least 30-60 minutes for the ship to clear, they march us off to wait in the terminal, and we get back on 10 seconds before other passengers. In fact, last B2B, there were those who decided it was necessary to rush the line and get through before the B2B cruisers. Guess that made them feel special.

It's different on different ships. We've met at 10:00, escorted right off the ship & right back on. Have had the wait & the mad dash For boarding. Have also had to go to excursion desk & pick up new Sea Passes & that was it. Our favorite is getting to go to our room as all the new cruisers have to wait.

Yes, there is a minimum number for the luncheon, but I have usually enjoyed it. Plus it's fun watching the new borders who come into the MDR, see a group in the back corner eating lunch, and wonder why they can't join us!;p

As most of the ships have 2 itineraries, a B2B gives you two vacations for one transportation charge. The amount of time spent in the turn-around process for the continuous cruisers depends on how quickly the people leaving get off. One time it seemed to take forever--and then they brought on the dogs. Seems that someone was trying to stow away in a life boat! Once they took him off, we were able to clock off with our old cards, give them their zero count, and then clock back on with our new cards. Sometimes you physically leave the ship, sometimes not.

Once "re-borded", you are free to go and do what you please. We generally explore the ship. Check out cabins that we have never seen, etc. We check out the deck plans ahead of time and find and note the "unusual" cabins, then if the door is open, check them out. What is the obstructed view? What is the layout of this shape cabin? What do the different family cabins look like? Also you have access to your own cabin. If you have a balcony, you can enjoy it. Take in some sun, watch the activities in the port, or just chill.

Must be a TA thing as have never gotten that on any of our b2b cruises with royal.

We had lunch at Jamie’s on our Harmony B2B.

We're on Lady H this weekend and this is the exact reason why I haven't booked Jamie's so far ..

Hopefully we'll get the same - numbers of B2B cruisers dependent of course

Oasis and allure it was in giovannis. Freedom we got to eat in a specialty restaurant but on indy we ate in the mdr. As others have said, it varies from ship to ship and number of b2b cruisers.

Fantastic advice! I like the idea of walking around the ship and looking at the different cabins

We are doing our first b2b on the Grandeur and wondering if they offer anything special for all of the us. Really excited to do this as it has been on our bucket list but never had enough vacation time. I guess this is one of the perks of being retired.
