phabric Posted September 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2018 We will be cruising with a 9 yr old. She might want to eat from the adult or children’s menu. Does the children’ menu change daily like the adult’s?
sunsetbeachgal Posted September 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2018 No, our experience is that the children’s menu does not change nightly. But of course they can order off the main menu. Or improvise, our granddaughters love the fettuccine Alfredo and they often ask for it with chicken on top. And adults in our group have been known to order the spaghetti and meatballs off the children’s menu, LOL! Sent from my iPad using Forums
famski740 Posted September 25, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2018 I do not know if they change the menu daily but you may want to order dessert from the children's menu for yourself. The "Volcano" is a great banana split.

Rare Coral Posted September 25, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2018 It hasn't changed in 20 years. It is the same each night. Between the adult and children's menu - I am sure she will be fine.
SimonaD Posted September 25, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2018 Our daughters have been cruising since age 5, now adults. Never even thought to inquire about children’s menu, no idea it existed. She’ll be just fine! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thrak Posted September 26, 2018 #11 Share Posted September 26, 2018 I've had the Volcano. It's large. I've heard that the Spaghetti and Meatballs from the children's menu is quite good.

OCruisers Posted September 26, 2018 #14 Share Posted September 26, 2018 The Kid's Menu does not change and is always a good option for them when they don't want to order from the Adult Menu. :)

The Spaghetti & Meatballs on the Children's Menu is so way better than you might expect. (y)
zogrand Posted September 26, 2018 #16 Share Posted September 26, 2018 In July we traveled with our grandchildren - two 13 year olds, one 11 year old, and two 7 year olds. Every night we ate in the MDR. The children's menu didn't change but they looked at both the children's and adult menu each night and always found something they liked. thegoaliegirl Posted September 26, 2018 #17 Share Posted September 26, 2018 I think kids have the best of both worlds. We just got off the Emerald and my 5 year old loved that the kids menu never changed. She knew exactly what she wanted every time, which made handling her food allergies easy. My 7 year old is more adventurous (and doesn't have food allergies) so she loved being able to pick and choose from the kids menu or the adult menu. In fact, the only thing she ordered from the kids menu was the volcano.
I object 2 Posted September 26, 2018 #18 Share Posted September 26, 2018 I'm guilty of ordering off the children's menu too! Love the meatballs and spaghetti on that menu. :) Jan
ggprincess2004 Posted September 26, 2018 #19 Share Posted September 26, 2018 The Spaghetti & Meatballs on the Children's Menu is so way better than you might expect. (y) It is pretty much the same as what is offered on the Adult menu on Italian Night. No need to wait for Italian night to enjoy it. Remember, the items on the kids menu increase your always available options. Spaghetti, and the Volcano are my "go to" choices on my least fav regular menu nights. I just laugh along with the server when i order them.

famski740 Posted September 26, 2018 #22 Share Posted September 26, 2018 I am trying to understand something. Everyone is saying they order the spaghetti and meat balls off the children's menu. On the Regal Princess during our last back to back, spaghetti and meat balls where listed on the always available section of the normal menu. I ordered it a couple of times from there. Is there a difference?
Roatanfans Posted September 26, 2018 #23 Share Posted September 26, 2018 My kids love the alphabet soup and that they can get chocolate milk. It's also nice for them to order fruit while waiting. My three kids will often mix and match from both menus depending on what sounds good that night!

Is there a difference? Spaghetti and meat balls has not been an always available option on any of the cruises I have been on so that is why it gets ordered from the children's menu. If it is now on the always available list, I wonder what item it replaced on the list.
quincytoo Posted September 27, 2018 #25 Share Posted September 27, 2018 I am a huge fan of Princess Spaghetti and meatballs and have often ordered it from the children's menu. I didn't know about the dessert ( I love Banana Splits) YUM
