Teppanyaki - terrayaki steak

Cagney's - wife had the filet, I liked it better than my ribeye

Moderno - surprisingly liked the salad bar more than anticipated. if you're a carnivore this is the place to have a meatfest.

La Cucina - surprised it was app, pasta, entrée, dessert.  a LOT of food, wife loved the lasagna.

Unfortunately, they no longer have the lasagna on the menu. The do have delicious gnocchi and tortellini.

Someone is debating cancelling the Cucina reservation and doubling up on Cagney's or Teppanyaki,  all over a slice of lasagna.  (she didn't enjoy the slice she had in MDR, NCL Sky, last Feb)

I could live with that!

Le Bistro is my favorite on your list, enverything is great and French Onion soup far superior to MDR's version.  Service is better here than most places (only Ocean Blue is better in service).

Moderno is great for meat lovers and salad bar lovers ... I only wish I could be hungrier when I go here.  Ditto on that roasted pineapple. The sides are yummy too.  Too much good food to have it all!

Cagney's gave me a very good meal but still my least favorite of my 4.  Filet was good and cooked right this time (only bad meal I had was at Cagney's 3 years ago, overcooked and took so long I could not wait for it to be re-cooked.)

Sushi Bar: Don't waste a dinner here.  It's cheap - so get a roll to share as a snack.  With a Wasabi Cocktail, my favorite drink on the ship.

At Le Bistro, this might not be the choice if you are eating there only once, but we discovered a real sleeper of a dish:

Coq au vin

They have the most delicious sauce, and the chicken was amazingly tender.

It became a favorite of ours!

Le Bistro, the Sole Grenoblase, not sure on spelling, but it was basically a Whitefish Picatta and it was the best thing I ate all week.  The restaurant was fantastic, service the best.  My son finished his Escargot and they asked if he would like another serving as he liked them so much.  Can't wait to go back next fall.

Cagney's:  Filet

Moderno:  Nice, extensive salad bar.  Meats are second rate.

Buffet asian night:  Carved Peking duck.

Buffet seafood night:  Unlimited chilled, peeled shrimp and mussels on the half shell with cocktail sauce.

Buffet lunch (one day):  Carved, whole roast hog on a spit.

Buffet (each night):  Selection of creamy cheeses and breads, crackers.

In the MDRs, I thought popcorn shrimp, open face tuna/chicken salad (they alternate) on hearty bread, and fruit plate made a pleasant lunch.

We just got back from a cruise last week and went to specialty dinners 4 nights. Cagney's twice--I got the surf and turf filet mignon and shrimp both times and it was so good! Moderno once--the salad bar and meats are all so good. Be prepared to be super full here! We were joking that we had the meat sweats after trying like 8 types of meat here. Finally had to throw in the towel before all the meat was brought out, and I swear I needed someone to roll me back to my room. Finally, we went to the Bistro last. I got the Coq Au Vin and it was really good. I'll be honest and say I probably would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't kind of drunk by then, so maybe take it easy on the pre-dinner drinks so you can really taste it, lol. But yeah, I think Cagney's was the best, though you really can't go wrong with the others we tried.

On our buffet seafood night on the Jade in September, they served roasted chicken. The selection of seafood was so poor we only knew it was seafood night because the sign said so. No shellfish to be found anywhere or the usual salmon Wellington missing from the carvery. Seafood night has become see food night.:classic_angry:
