As for me, I am partial to well done, classic street rods.

My town hosts the NSRA Street Rod Nationals North every September... you don't even need to go to the show, just drive around town and there are street rods EVERYWHERE.

Many of the owners have a "bonus" car show in their hotel parking lot in the evenings.  You can just go from one hotel to the next (because they fill every hotel in a 20-mile radius) and people are sitting in lawn chairs out in the parking lots by their cars, chatting with people and admiring each others' cars.

Forecast for Dallas today is 100

You beat me to it.  Stay cool!

I'm back from running 2 errands and we're going to stay in and relax.

No rain for at least the next 8 days with temps in the mid to high 90s.

Unlike our previous severe storm weather watch, we are now in a severe heat advisory.

And so it goes.

We had a great weekend. All 3 daughters and their families gathered at the house this weekend.  2 couples from church wanted to prepare a meal for our family.  It turned out to be a feast!  There was 15 of us and we might of ate a 1/3 of the feast.  Lots of leftovers.
A smoked Boston Butt that turned out sooo tender.  We turned it into pulled pork.

It is 81* in my office at work today so far. The A/C has been repaired a bunch of times in the last month, but it broke again last week. Parts are on order (again).

For those of you interested in maritime history, a submersible operated by Ocean Gate that takes tourists to view the Titanic wreckage has been reported overdue in St John’s Newfoundland on Sunday evening. It carries a total of 5 people.

This was reported on BBC news.

I just heard about this. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome but I’m not sure if it is possible. 😢

Owen came home from school today, 2 more full days left. Then 4 days of exams/year end assignments.

Today they had the sports assembly and he showed this to us when he got home. An amazing thing to get, but for some reason Lisa and I aren’t surprised.

Yikes, remind us not to take that when we  are there in September on our cruise.

They say it has a crew of one and 4 passengers.  Cost per passenger is $250,000.  UK Billionaire Hamlisch Harding was one passenger. No word on who the other passengers were.

Last I heard it was 1 guest and 4 crew. I would think they have more guests than crew though so your account makes more sense. Either way it’s 5 people. 🙏
