I am are still dealing with issue with swallowing food. We did receive a delivery of food for my peg tube last night, so I feel better having the option of receiving nutrition when I cannot swallow.  Good news is that my health insurance is paying for the food.

I’m glad insurance is paying for that. Thanks for the update. Hang in there my friend.

Not sure if anyone got the joke, but there's no way I could keep up with a live review.

Here are the numbers for this cruise, but they didn't say what the total was for the ship.

I guess it's the nature of that cruise, but it seems strange that there are more D+ than D, and almost more D+ than gold, platinum and emerald combined.  The recent double points probably has something to do with it also.

The last few days I’ve been focused on planning out our days in Venice & Rome, then Barcelona post cruise.  For our port stops, we’re doing excursions two of the days and DIY’ing the other days.
Also, I don’t know if I mentioned it but Andy received another casino cruise certificate while we were on Independence a couple of weeks ago.  We figured this would work perfectly into our usual 3 weeks in FL next Feb/March.  Looking at the list, we narrowed down the cruises that interested us, deciding we would go with an Inside cabin to make this truly a free cruise (other than taxes & port fees).  When Andy called the casino line to get information, he was informed that his offer had been upgraded.  We logged in to review the upgraded offer list and were surprised to see many more options with the majority of them balcony cabins.  Bottom line is we booked an 8 night cruise on Adventure out of PC on 3/1, going to Labadee, Aruba and Bonaire, in a balcony cabin for $185.26 in port fees & taxes!  He only spent a little time, maybe 2 hours total, at the slots and ended up about $1,200 ahead.  I have no idea what their matrix is for these offers, but I’ll take it!

Repo cruises tend to have more experienced cruisers.

On our last cruise, DW had 2 casino certificates, that I got open booking for.

Then I ended up with the cancer thing, so we haven't done anything with that.

We'll have to look into this.

That’s for sure. I was on a two week repo cruise on Liberty several years ago and they had to use the Star Lounge on deck 5 for the DL and Viking Crown for the CL (it still existed then) due to 1200+ D and up members on board. Felt bad for the servers as quite a few were very demanding and at times downright nasty.

I wouldn’t be Diamond now if it weren’t for double points. Need another double points promotion to make Diamond plus.

I bet it's very hard for you to be in NYC not in Florida with Nate as he rides this out with the pups.

@singinalot

I was thinking the same thing, the impending storm overshadowing your trip to NYC.  I'm sure you can't really enjoy the gorgeous late summer NY weather we are having on your "bonus" day while Nate & fam ride out the storm.

Day started gray & rainy, cleared up about 2 hours ago. Temp 78 and humidity/dew point dropping.

EDIT: That's my neighbors pool. If it was mine, it would not be covered.

My niece and her husband just wrote a book on Disney , they did lots of research on it , it’s about a resort that never was built. It comes out in two weeks.

Excellent news on the casino offer/booking!   and Congratulations on the $1200 win too!

Most people think you have to spend lots of time and money in the casino to get these free offers, but the truth is you really don't have to.

Sad to say we have 4 offers recently emailed to us and we are unable to use any of the free balcony offers due to scheduling issues.

Hoping that we both get casino certificates when we sail on Serenade in September.  A lot of times we combine our offers to upgrade our cabin.

I am really looking forward to hearing about your upcoming Med cruise.  😃

Nice!   This looks really interesting.    Do we all get a free autographed copy?😁

The clearing front has arrived here now. I don't know if it will be far enough along to see the super blue moon this evening.

I didn’t know you could combine offers. I may need to spend more than my usual $20/two minutes in the casino in the future 😂!

🙂.  We’re only in port from 8-5.  This will be our first time in Aruba.  I researched quickly this morning and more than likely we’ll spend a couple of hours at Eagle Beach, then explore the town a little bit (which will include a little shopping, naturally 😉) and probably get a drink somewhere before boarding.  It’s a long way off but depending on what you end up doing for the day, maybe we can meet somewhere for a cold beverage.  I’m curious to know if we really have met on a prior cruise!
