Wednesday Feb.28 is the new Survivor.I read the cast names to my granddog .He did not react to any.Perhaps when he picked BamBam as a past winner there was a way that I pronounced the name that caused him to bark ?

We are the normal stream "cruise enthusiasts" who will look for a deal more than a suite, points and amenities, (so perhaps our experiences with MSC are not that stellar) .....if the suite has the greatest deal, we will look definitely at it, I mean who would not like a suite and be pampered, I'd love that!!! but putting all the numbers together take priority to us than a butler, a drink package, chasing points, etc etc, so we will always look for deals, group rates , etc.
And I also keep getting the line, "Do you want to cruise once a year in the best suite or go on more cruises?". You know which one I am picking so far!😁 but everyone has their own desires to follow, so no right or wrong answers.

So having said that, I have cruised in a suite only 3 times : once in a Crown Loft on the Oasis, another time on NCL and once on Carnival. Crown Loft took my breath away. NCL was WOW and their service was WOWer! Carnival was a big suite, lots of space, no complaints.

Thanks for your thoughts. It’s important to hear people’s experiences. I would like to try other lines but I am also obsessed with making it to Diamond Plus.

As far as MSC goes… we are one and done with them. I think if I regularly sailed suites I’d be more inclined to give them a second chance. I keep hearing that yacht club is an amazing experience that vastly exceeds Royals suite experience.
 

 Our first experience was very substandard. We know what we get with Royal and we’re comfortable with that. Generally we’re in a balcony with the odd suite thrown in. I might try them again somewhere down the road just for the yacht club experience to give it a comparison but like @Sea Dog said likely will be after I hit diamond plus.

I was also wondering about @Ozark_Kid.  I did a search for your most recent post.  cc brought up the great review you did on the Allure with @brillohead.
So at midnight (I had just come home from dinner with girlfriends) I started reading your combined review from last year.  Miss your gorgeous grandkids & dad jokes but maybe you are just spending more time with your beautiful family and making precious memories ❤️

Sunset Verandas are always more expensive since they are on the aft and really only a true balcony as all the others are infinite verandas that are basically a window.

We’ve had a whirlwind few days.  Our two nights in Jacksonville Beach were nice, just wish the temperature could’ve climbed above 65.  Still better than home!  Our first night, we went to Dockside Seafood.  The food was good but the place wasn’t quite what I expected.  Order at a counter, get a pager and they bring your food in a basket. As Andy said “only the finest for you”

 

Our second night was dinner at TacoLu at @bobmacliberty Bob’s recommendation.  It did NOT disappoint!  Naturally we ordered way too much food. Our oldest will be in Amelia Island at the end of the month with her family for their spring break. I texted her and said they have to make the drive to try this place.  
Today we drove to the Margaritaville in Hollywood Beach.  Due to a snafu in the parking garage, we were upgraded from partial Oceanview room to two room Oceanfront Suite.  Cheeseburgers in Paradise for dinner were excellent.  Tomorrow night is JWB Steakhouse.  Best of all? The temperature today was 80 degrees!

Wow Deb!  You and Andy really scored with your Oceanfront Suite!  Nice way to celebrate your Anniversary vacation.  We haven't seen 80 degrees yet here.  We had our Jimmy Buffet party last night.  It got pretty cool once the sun left the pool area.
