And on a humorous note -- I think that after 2 kids of same gender, you should be allowed, by law, to have one of the opposite ... of course, if you're interested 😉

 

All around my family and friends, same gender ... 3 or even 4. My eldest son went to the kindergarten with a couple of twin boys. Turns out that after 3 consecutive boys, the mother, desperate for a little princess, went to various consults, how to ascertain that the 4th will be a girl.

 

In her own words [I got eventually to know the mother] : "they told us 'drive straight on, 2 left, 3 right, and 2nd exit at the round about' " ... The advice was spot on: after 3 boys, she gave birth to twin boys.....

You may be on to something.  My oldest daughter & SIL have 3 boys.  My middle daughter & SIL have 2 girls, so far.  Being an only child myself, it boggles my mind a bit!

That’s great news @singinalot!  Very similar goings on back here in the Northeast.  My Dad passed away Feb 2020.  I put his house on the market (technically my house as he had put it in my name back in 2002) in November 2020. Second person who looked at it made an offer 10k over asking.  We signed papers on it Dec 30th.  Now just sweating the capital gains taxes 😬.

I’m an espresso drinker and had been using a Nespresso machine. We recently switched to a Gaggia Babila machine. Makes outstanding espresso AND coffee for my wife. Whole fresh coffee beans really do make a difference.

My wife has a great flank steak recipe. It was dinner yesterday with grilled asparagus and potato pancakes (chef’s kiss emoji here).  I didn’t get a picture last night but I got this pic of the leftover flank steak that she turned into steak hoagies. I married well. 😁

Dani, you are correct.  It just had it's 1st birthday in January.  I was going to buy another one so my daughter could have hers back but I don't like the newest version.  Too bulky for my tiny kitchen.

 

The food pics look yummy.  I am partial to pizza, DH loves the ribeyes.

 

Congrats on selling the house.  I would have taken the 10K over, I didn't know you could counteroffer.  Are you concerned about finding a place to go?  Or did you say you already have a rental ready?

Our offering for tonight. Club sandwich, tater tots and pickles. Again I could only eat half.

I know there's a huge debate on the correct items for a club. I only use 2 slices of bread, and use deli ham, turkey and bacon. Pile on the lettuce and tomatoes. No cheese.

Our lockdown has consisted of grocery pickups with quick in store visits only when necessary, walks when weather permits,  trips to the beach last summer, takeout meals only, and a ton of home improvement projects.  We are both retired & DH is a big DIY-er.  We were able to get an in ground pool installed at the end of last summer so we now spend a lot of time planning the completion (pavers, fencing, lighting, landscaping). I received my 1st Pfizer shot last week (63), DH is waiting to be contacted (57).  
Our last cruise was June 2019, Anthem 9 night Bermuda & Eastern Caribbean out of Bayonne NJ to celebrate DH retirement.  It was one of our best! Photo from our favorite spot-Boleros.

We woke up early yesterday, made the bed, revacuumed and vacated the house. Nate took Sam and headed to the dog park and other errands and I drove the hour to Denver to pick up my mom and drive to Breckinridge. The weather was perfect so it all worked out well. 

 

I got home around 6:30 last night and Nate was at Brett & Jenn’s house (our friends and he is our realtor). They called and told me to change and come over. Shortly after, Brett called and told me to check my email. We had an offer! 10k over asking price. We countered for 15k over and they accepted with contingency on appraisal😱💃! unbelievable. I will create a post now with pictures from yesterday.

 

today we went on a hike with the in laws and then get home to a text from my cousin inviting us to Anna Maria island in FL for 4th of July. 

LOL I’ve already booked our flights and rental car 🏖✈️

 

Congrats! That was fast.
