Shareholders Benefit posting faster

Wednesday morning I faxed in my Shareholders Request. Didn't check until Thursday, and there was the credit, already posted on my cruise.

Things are improving on Princess.

can this be used for gratuities/tips? The pdf said it can't be, so they segregate the OBC in your onboard account?  Any real world info would be helpful. thanks.

Yes obc is used first then comes out of your credit card after that if you spend more than what you have in obc.

Thanks. Request sent via email Thursday and got auto email response that posting may take up to 21 days. So happy to see it posted today.

The restrictions have always been in the details but Princess did not enforce the shareholders OBC, being restricted to not be used in Casino or for Gratuities.
 

I was on the Grand Princess for 14 days in July 2022 and had no problem using up my shareholder OBC thru charging $ on a slot machine.

 

Maybe more recent reports like yours, means Princess has decided to start enforcing the stated restrictions.

 

Your post is the first I have seen to report Princess is now enforcing their stated policy for Shareholders OBC.

Same here!  I emailed my statement and didn't check for a few days because I expected it to take weeks, but there it was!

I emailed my request on Wed. August 10th.  Posted to my account on Tue. 16th.  Things are improving at Princess.

I emailed my request yesterday afternoon and received the credit today.  I'm very happy with the quick response.  Last time it took about three weeks.

I submitted ours last week for our New Year's cruise and it posted in 2 days.  Looks like they fixed the problem!

Yes!  Princess allows “stacking” OBC. I have heard other lines do not.

A form is not required.  They just need the following, or something similar. 

 

Dear Shareholder Benefit Personnel, 

 

Please apply my Carnival Shareholder Benefit to the following booking: XXXXXX,  (ship's name) Princess, departing on xx/xx/xxxx. The reservation is under (Shareholder Name).  My e-mail is xxxx.  My mobile phone is xxx-xxx-xxxx.

 

I have attached my current brokerage statement as proof of ownership.

Thank you.  Would one have to ask for this on every booking?  Or, once submitted Princess will have it in their files and it will just be part of any future bookings?

You will need to apply every time as Princess needs to verify that you still own the shares and didn’t sell them.

I had my obc posted within 2 hours, I was shocked to say the least

no...have  received OBC for  cruise booked Jan 2023

I sent my Shareholder in on Friday morning and it was posted to my booking in 2 hours.
