Of call the cruises I have been on people love my cowbell and I usually get tips and calls for more cowbell.  Its small and fits conveniently in a suitcase.   I think only once someone knocked on my door at 3:30 am and told me it was getting on their nerves and they were trying to sleep.  Sure enough it was not long before they too were asking for more cowbell.  If you hear a cowbell on your cruise, you know its me.  Its just unfortunate NCL wont let me join their cruise ship band with my cowbell.

Sweet.  The only thing better than Alexa on the Encore would probably be Alexa w/Cowbell.  Dare to dream.... 😎

She would only be on board if she could bring her ukulele and/or guitar with her.  I had read that Disney Cruise Line does permit instruments and confiscates them.  I Googled it, and while most lines do not permit instruments, I cannot find anything specific from NCL.  I went to their site and searched, and this is the best I could come up with - noting that it doesn't list instruments on it.

I need to bring my basketball and practice my dribbling on my balcony as that is not prohibited either.  I can also practice my opera at the same time.

i'm a guitar player and wouldn't dream of taking any of mine.  Hopefully you won't be my balconymate on my next cruise.....no offense, but you may not like what i like and vice versa.  Even the poster refers to "her music" and alludes to it not being that great....."that's just who she is".

Not only do I want my neighbors bringing the instruments, but they need to go to the talent shows, karaokes, and open mikes with it.  Even sit in with the house bands.

Ahh, but they do have a dedicated place on board for like-minded folks that want to practice their basketball skills. They even supply the equipment!

 

To my knowledge, there is no 'band camp' room on board any ship where it becomes open jam session for everyone to practice their musical skills. There's probably a reason for this...

I was on a singles cruise once that coincided with a partial-ship charter of an Irish music festival thing.  The Studio Lounge hosted a jam session more than once.   I loved it, but some folks less so... Irish music isn't everyone's cup of tea.  Which proves the overall point of this thread, I guess.

My work has taken a turn towards buried, which is no fun.  I need to go read up on our stock thread!  Hopefully CCL doesn't make it any worse then the Feds already did last week.
