Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida.

Everyday is chocolate day for me.

Never been to the port.

World Series starts tonight, not sure who to pull for, I'm usually for the American League team but not a fan of the Astros who cheated when they won the WS a few years ago.

I Like the quote but not the food or drink.

Off to the golf course.

Thanks for The Daily, stay well and have a great day.

Good morning.  Happy Friday!  Thanks for the Fleet and Daily Report.

A cool morning here, only 0°C but supposed to be a sunny warm 12°C this afternoon.

An interesting collection of days.  You had me at chocolate. 🙂   Happy Birthday Miss Liberty.  I have several plush animals, I try to keep them away from Bertie, he has his own.

I like the quote.

I'll pass on the meal and the drink, but I'm sure I'll like the wine.

Prayers for everyone who needs them.  Cheers for all the celebrations.

Have a wonderful day.

Thank you for the TGIF report, Rich.  I love chocolate in small doses.  I'm not into plush animals but they are certainly very nice.  The Statue of Liberty is awesome and a wonderful gift from France.  I love the Crocker quote and have been to Coquimbo twice, Zaandam in 2016 and Crystal Symphony in 2018.  I'll pass on the sushi.  My alternative is Papaya with a Rainbow of Fruit, Chicken Cordon Bleu, and Mixed Berry Streusel which would have been my choices on MS Amsterdam October 28, 2017 if I had not been on a LONG tour in Beijing.  What I actually had was a bag of potato chips and a dish of ice cream from the Lido.  Had an unplanned doctor visit yesterday for an infection around my lips and a followup with my Radiation Oncologist this morning about a year after our first meeting.

Today’s care list:

Kazu’s BIL hospitalized on the eve of leaving for cruise
Cruisin single’s step son with double cancer

Quaartzite Cruiser DH post surgery rehab
Ottahand7 DB with post-surgery complications

From the rotation:
Status of St. Louis Sal (7/1) and JAM37 (7/7)
Cruisin Terri leak damage and recalcitrant insurance company
Sandi’s neighbor Linda
Marshhawk and DH struggling with smoking

Celebrations and Shoutouts:

Thank you for the Daily Fleet Report!

Happy Belated Birthday Graham!

I have some apple cider in the fridge, so I'm waiting to see what the drink has in it.  I will pass on the meal and the wine.  I've never been to the port.

½ part Cruzan® Island Spiced Rum
½ part Honey
½ part Orange Juice
4 parts Apple Cider
Garnish: Allspice

Good afternoon from a sunny and mild 62°F North East England.

Thank you everyone who sent me birthday wishes yesterday.

I appreciated them all immensely.

Thank you for today's fleet reports and Daily Rich.

Thank you Roy for the latest lists.

Pauline has a number of plush toy bears and monkey.

I have sold chocolate for several different companies over the last 35+ years so as a chocoholic today like every day is good.

Excellent quote.

I will give today's food and drink a miss.

Never been to South America so I will be interested to see photos.

I wish everyone good health.

Take care.

Graham.

Thank you for today’s Report & Daily, Rich! Thank you also for the most perfect quote. Difficult to remember at times, but…

Thank you for keeping our lists, Roy. Cloudy this morning. We have already had a shower, or two & Bindi is sleeping in. Her Vet had an emergency yesterday, so she goes for her heart worm test today.

Prayers for all who need our support. @smitty34877 & @Quartzsite Cruiser Terry & Lenda, praying all goes smoothly today and all is well.

Cheers to all who are celebrating! Stay well everyone!

Rochioli 2019 Estate Grown Pinot Noir

This wine sounds lovely. And though out of my price range, I would love a taste. Available from several online distributors with prices starting at $74.99.

Winemaker Notes

#37 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2021

Elegant and beautifully balanced, this Pinot Noir has aromas of ripe cherry, vanilla and a hint of savory herbs, while on the palate it is juicy and refined with a hint of dusty cherry. The wine has a big rich mouth-feel, silky tannins and a long finish. This wine expresses classic Rochioli character.

WE96 Wine Enthusiast

This is a blend of several single-vineyard designates, predominantly Little Hill (53%) and Big Hill (15%), with additions from West Block, East Block and Sweetwater as well. Dark plum and raspberry accent a lively and expansive palate framed by rounded tannins and easy oak accents. Enjoy from 2029–2034.

WS94 Wine Spectator
Delicate and refined, this is filled with concentrated raspberry tart flavors that are laced together by plenty of cedary and underbrush accents. The fresh, juicy finish shows touches of ripe minerality and hints of white pepper. Drink now through 2027
RP93 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Pale ruby, the 2019 Pinot Noir Estate has pretty red and black berry aromas on the nose, with accents of black tea leaves, woodsmoke and earth. The medium-bodied palate is silky and fresh with intense, earth-laced fruits lingering on the finish.

Did you realize the Crocker quote was advice Christopher Robin gave to Pooh?

Hoping everyone can be brave, strong and smart today.   Remember, even if you are apart from your loved ones and friends, they are with you.

Good morning friends!  It's about 51F this morning and we took a long walk in the dark together.  Should be cloudy for most of the day with a high of 72.  We are expecting rain possibly on Sunday and Monday.  Thanks Rich @richwmnfor this Daily and Fleet Report.  A salute to the Statue of Liberty on this dedication day anniversary.  I like plush animals -- who doesn't?  And our very favorite day to celebrate is chocolate!  I wouldn't like the sushi as my menu of the day.  That's quite a quote!  Coquimbo (La Serena), Chile is a nice port to visit.  We had it last time over a year ago, Oct. 13, 2021.  I will put the link below and also add my photos from back then.  And I will go get Lenda's photos for her too (until she's home again and able to do it for herself).

Thank you Roy for the Care and Celebration lists.  I'm sorry to hear you have an infection near your mouth but glad you got to see the doctor already.  Prayers for Lenda and Steve, and @smitty34877Terry, her DH and Tana.  Prayers also for the remainder on the list, those suffering in Ukraine and after our hurricanes this fall.  Cheers to everyone celebrating.  Good to hear the letter came through @summer slopeDixie though I can see now might be the opportunity to get the yellow fever vaccination while you have the appointments made.  Good luck to Debbie on her closing day.  Best of luck with everything!

I have a new photo of Sadie.  She was spayed a short while back but her sutures are out and she was able to get groomed.  Finally!  Her fur grows so fast!  00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVKy0BiCEzjZRP-5qrL_9-A4VZV51t4MhjbEwRNyGscOgg?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1666958309

On to our port information.

We stopped in Coquimbo, Chile on two of our South America cruises.  Once in 2012 on Star Princess and again in 2015 on Ruby Princess.

Our 2012 trip to Coquimbo on Star Princess included a shuttle bus to drive us to the La Serena area.  When we were dropped off it was rather quiet but things moved along as the morning went on.  Our friend who was also on this cruise looked hard for a place to make a phone call to her mother who was not in the greatest health.  She eventually found a place where you could rent a computer or place phone calls using her calling card.  At that time a lot of us didn't have cell phones with international calling plans.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVLNswgGTnV3IqerWu36mMu4?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1332643714

Post from Lenda @Quartzsite Cruiseron Oct. 13, 2021.

I'll post some pictures from Coquimbo when we were there in 2015 on the Ruby Princess.  We did a tour that had an over view of Coquimbo, and took us to La Serena where we visited a Pisco vineyard and distillery, and then to Vicuna.

Good morning. It is downright cold here this morning but will reach sixty later. I am an odd person as I really don't  care much for chocolate but that means there is more for everyone  else.My grandchildren told me they gave away most of their " stuffies" recently. It made me a little sad but they are almost 12 now. I like the quote and have not been to Chile.

DH and I are hoping for the best today. I had a crazy thought in the middle of the night: maybe Medicare insists test results are explained  with a doctors  office  visit? It was a very expensive test....We shall see.

@Quartzsite Cruiser,  Lenda, I sure hope your Steve  makes it there today. The up and down of things must be exhausting.

@kazu, Jacqui,  Enjoy your trip and I hope all goes well.

@aliaschief,  Bruce, thanks for taking us on  beautiful  river cruise.Safe trip home.

Good morning, everyone.

The notary public should be arriving soon to sign the closing papers on my house in Ohio and then I take off for Michigan to sign the closing papers on the house up there.  It is such an exciting time!  The only thing that can go wrong at this point is if the money isn't wired in time for closing on Monday.  Fingers and toes are crossed.

Today's meal will probably not appeal to all.  I know I would take a pass on it.

Maguro nigiri sushi is a traditional Japanese type of nigiri sushi. It consists of hand-pressed sushi rice that's topped with slices of tuna. Different cuts of tuna are classified as otoro (fatty), chutoro (medium-fatty), and akami (red meat).

The dish has a mild flavor and a rich texture that makes it great for sushi newcomers. Traditionally, this type of sushi is eaten by hand in a single bite. It's usually accompanied by soy sauce, wasabi, or pickled ginger (gari) on the side.

Tuna Nigiri is made with sashimi-grade tuna and vinegared  sushi rice – so much easier to make than maki sushi rolls! We’ll show you some simple techniques and tips so that you can make this delicious tuna sushi at home. Plus you’ll find how to cut raw tuna and customize this recipe by using cooked tuna, other seafood, or alternatives like vegetables.

Good morning to all.

Thank you to Rich for the Daily and Fleet Report.

I like all the days.  I love the Statue of Liberty and went there often when living in New York and had visitors.  I like all plush animals and who doesn’t like chocolate.

Like the quote.

i will pass on the meal and wine is a bit above the budget.

Drink looks good.

I have been to Coquimbo back in 2012 on the Veendam’s repositioning from Buenos Aires to New York.  That was a great cruise. Unfortunately, I don’t have those photos on this iPad.  We did go to visit the museum dedicated to Gabriella Mistral, Nobel prize winning poet and Chilean ambassador to France.  Did my graduate paper on her.  She was born on the same day as my Grnadmother.

Thank you for the cares and celebration list, Roy.   Prayers for all those who need them.

As for our situation, it is unchanged.  The insurance rep has yet to answer our contractor so it is a waiting game.  While we are grateful to have a place to stay, it is not home.

I have been very busy trying to get my email situation taken care of. I have decided that we would go with Outlook.com since we use Outlook for our email platform. Now I am beginning to edit all of our logins with our new email addresses.  It is a big job.

I also have some stuff I want to do at our house.

With all these things going on, I expect that I will not be posting regularly.  I will post when I can.  I do appreciate the support you all have given us over time.

God Bless,

Terri

Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the daily fleet report.  @dfish you are correct, I’ll pass on today’s meal suggestion.  I’ll celebrate chocolate day and have a Reese’s cup later, maybe a Kit Kat, or both, they are snack sized.  On FB pictures were posted of the Statue of Liberty by those on the Rotterdam, that was nice to see.  This upcoming weekend is the time to get everything ready for next weekend’s travel.
I hope everyone has a good day today.
