You can always recycle junk mail. Surely you still carry a pen?

 

We  don’t seem to end up with the same problem with unused food plates lying around but do whatever works for you.

Portside is such a steal for what you pay for the meal. Incase you didn't know, you can get an extra side in place of dessert.

So I wanted a glass of Cognac with my dessert at CP 150 but I asked the waiter if it would be served in a brandy snifter and he said he would check since they get their cocktails from the Trellis bar. He returned and said no snifter which I wasn’t surprised since Trellis is an outdoor bar and they don’t serve in glass. So I declined.

 

 

Luckily Schooner Bar had brandy sifters and the Remy XO. I got a glass which cost about $2 over my drink package limit. Considering that a bottle of Remy XO sells for $225, I consider this a win win.

The Trellis bar on Harmony definitely had glass, but no clue if they have Brandy glasses.  Have usually been able to get them in the MDR and specialty restaurants.

We were on Oasis in July 2022. Neither of us can remember seeing the sand artist. I’ll have to ask our daughter—she and her younger sister were with us. 
 

I do remember seeing the sand artist on our our previous Oasis cruises, tho (2012 and 2015). 
 

We always pack pens and sticky notes, since it’s been years since I’ve seen anything in the cabin. We were on Celebrity last spring, and they still had a pen in the cabin!  C’mon, Royal, catch up, will ya?

My fav on Oasis... Burnt ends and ribs.  Is it the best bbq in the USA?  No def not but it's pretty good for a cruise ship!  I was even happy with the banana dessert thing.

 

I tried all the items and wasn't impressed with the brisket or sausage but burnt ends and ribs were very satisfying.

John suggested a crescendo. I really like this cocktail. Made with citrus vodka, peach schnapps,apple schnapps,midori,triple sec and pomegranate syrup. Very tasty.

Is the piano player in the Schooner Bar entertaining? We usually love that bar but sometimes it’s really hard to love the music. The bartenders usually become the main attraction 🎉

The piano player seems to be drawing them in. We could hear him behind our group at the bar and the audience is appreciating him.

At first they were mistakenly giving people $50 OBC for each person instead of the $50 per package they were supposed to be getting. Some people spent the $100 right away. At this point, our package had not been cancelled and no OBC had been issued. Apparently someone at Royal discovered what was going on. Those with $100 OBC in their accounts noticed that their OBC had disappeared. Those who had spent their OBC started getting notices that they owed a balance due for the purchases they had made with their OBC. At that point, I went to bed. When I got up on Tuesday my Premiere Package had been cancelled and my $50 OBC was in place. As of now it’s still there. I haven’t checked the Premiere Package threads yet. Hopefully the whole situation is finally straightened out, all packages have been cancelled, the correct amounts of OBC have been issued, and those who got the $100 instead of the $50 they were supposed to get are coming to terms with that. I’m not sure what happened with those who bought multiple packages, if they got $50 per package or just $50 total. I’ll be heading over to check on that next.

The current Portside musician,Nate, is on vocal rest. He did his Johnny Cash tribute and lost his voice. Hopefully he’ll be back performing before y’all leave. 

@SummerBeee I like that idea. Thank you! The portions of food I’ve been seeing from Portside BBQ I’ve been seeing are way too much food for me. I plan on giving it a try. 😋
