Celebrity Reflection - lanyards, wrist bands or what??

Hi everyone,

First cruise coming up with Celebrity in April from FLL. We have the Classic drinks package and I wondered what the process is when ordering a drink??  Do we need to wear a lanyard (and is the card pre-punched with a hole?), just carry the card or have they moved to wrist bands yet??

If just using the card, do we sign for every drink or is the card simply scanned??

Also, as it's my husband and I travelling together, can he order both of our drinks together or does he need to take my card with him to the bar?   Small details I know but I want to be prepared!!

Thanks for your help.

The cards are not pre-punch but if you go to gastrulation’s, they can punch a hole in them if you wish.

They will scan your card for each drink you order and there is nothing to mine unless you go over the price allowance of your beverage package.

You do not need to wear a lanyard.  They either swipe the card or ask for cabin #.  The only time you would sign for a drink is if you order something above the package limit, then you sign for the extra $ and 20% gratuity on that amount.

Drinks are on the card and you need two cards for two drinks. No signing for drinks

Incorrect.  You can buy as many drinks as you want on your card.  If you have a package, then you need a card for each drink ordered AT THE SAME TIME

I carry my phone everywhere so I like the credit card hold on back of the phone

I seem to be seeing more of these, not my jam but could prove useful for a woman who is used to carrying her phone in her purse and doesn't want to drag the purse around the ship

Assume Spell Check error and you meant Guest Relations.  This was what I used to do up until a time I went and they said they no longer punched a hole in them, not sure why the change but perhaps they were finding this causing problems with the cards?  I never had any issue with my punched card.

So today they may or may not punch a hole in your card if asked.

Thanks everyone.  So if hubby goes to the bar to order his beer and my (hopefully anyway lol) Villa Maria Sauvignon Blanc (see transatlantic thread) then he will need to take my card as well as his?

IF my drink exceeds the price allowance, is he able to sign for me?

Re the punched holes, I seem to remember years ago Carnival stopped doing this at Guest Relations and you could only get it done in the Casino - go figure!

Thanks @NutsAboutGolf for the lanyard link - will check that out 😀

Appreciate all your help. Looking forward to trying Celebrity after P&O, Carnival and Norwegian.

yes

Yes but you are overthinking it…they won’t know which drink is for which person so since you both have the package he could just as well be ordering the more expensive drink for himself and signing the appropriate ticket

Yes, they will accommodate you..once they get to know you, they may not need the two cards…

would the phone erase the sign card?  (demagnitize it?)

Happy to pay the upcharge for Villa Maria wine - just hope it's still available.

That is a great offer for the Premium drinks package but hubby is happy with the beer available in the classic range and I can still find lots of beverages I enjoy even if they don't have the wine 😃

My wife no longer lets me go alone to get drinks.   The problem is I order 2 at the bar of the drinks I want because I am usually in a conversation with someone. I finish one and then order one for me and one for my wife, and leave with 2 drinks for me and one for her.   One of those for me is a traveler.

Drink up 🍹🍾🍸🍷🥂🧉🥃

Just got off Reflections.

great staff and very chill. Buddy and Charill at Passport ( Jessie too) do an outstanding job. After a few days , they know your room number.

no worries, the staff on board will take good care of you.

They no longer punch holes in the card, so simply take something the card can slide in to . After a few days though,  most know your room number so it’s not a big issue. Enjoy your cruise !
