Rare Keith1010 Posted November 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Would still love to be on a cruise. In a day or so it will be warmer outside on the ship. Keith
leaveitallbehind Posted November 11, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2017 Have departed from Bayonne for a Christmas cruise on Explorer before at 4:00 PM - not at 19 degrees, but certainly colder than the typical summer cruises. By 1:00 PM the next day off the coast of the Carolina's it was 70 degrees. Same on the return - only got cold the morning of the last night. It's manageable! DirtyDawg Posted November 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 11, 2017 BrrrrrrrWaking up to 19 degrees. With your balmy weather I'd be boarding that ship in shorts. :)
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 11, 2017 It is 15 with a wind chill of 8. It wouldn't make difference to me where we sailed from knowing that in a day or two, we would be in warmer weather.

lisiamc Posted November 11, 2017 #14 Share Posted November 11, 2017 We like cold weather cruises as much as warm weather ones, so leaving today from NJ or NYC would be just fine with me!

Travelcat2 Posted November 12, 2017 #20 Share Posted November 12, 2017 Cold weather in your hometown is the perfect excuse to cruise (to warmer climates). Next Friday we start a 25 night cruise out of Miami that will go to the Amazon....... can't get much warmer than that. The only excuse not to cruise is if you are cruising to an area during hurricane season ........ and you are in the middle of that season! The only reason that I'm happy that there were cruise ships in the Caribbean the last couple of months is so that they could assist the people in the hurricane damaged islands. Rare Hlitner Posted November 12, 2017 #23 Share Posted November 12, 2017 Totally disagree with the OP and do not understand why he/she thinks in terms of cruising out of NY/NJ. Yes, baby its cold outside. So take yourself over to JFK, jump on a flight to Dubai, relax for a couple of days (baby, its hot outside) and then go aboard the Regent Seven Seas Voyager for a short 33 day cruise to Hong Kong. And if that doesnt sound good why not just fly to downunder where its wonderful spring time...and take a cruise. It is a big world and the weather is always good somewhere :).
