Favorite MDR appetizer/entree/dessert?

What's your favorite dish in the MDR? 

 

I know my wife is a huge fan of the molten chocolate cake.  I can't recall anything that blew me away but I don't think I've ever had a bad plate either.

App- French onion soup and crab cake

entree- Beef tenderloin and lobster

dessert- Creme brûlée and grand marnier soufflé

Loved the cappacino pie,  but did not see it on menu  last trip.  Are they still serving it?

I look forward to the Crème Brulee and prime rib, and usually get the chocolate melting cake at least once a cruise even though it can be hit or miss.

My husband really enjoys the Buttered Popcorn Pot De Creme.  I find the creme brûlée to generally be good.  Very little wows me in MDR either (unlike you, I have had a few bad dishes).

Going to have the beef Wellington for the first time in February. Pretty pumped for our 1st 8 day!

Oh...Is that how you get that? I have my first 8-day next summer. I need to know which night it is so I don't book a specialty restaurant.

Love the soup appetizers

Main course - I get the salmon at least 1 night per cruise, sometimes 2 times

Desserts..  trying to skip those, but the smores parfait and the bitter and blanc are amazing.

There are really so many appetizers I love. Sometimes I think about just ordering a bunch of them and no entree. There's something about their spring rolls though. And the best part is that they put them on the buffet. So usually, I'll have an order during early dinner and then grab a couple more as a late-night snack.

 

I think my favorite entree is probably the lamb shank. It's so good, especially with the mint jelly.

 

Dessert is the easiest: buttered popcorn pot de creme.

I can't choose 1 of each, so here's my favorite list.

Apps:  Fried Calamari, Escargot, Braised Rabbit Puff Pastry, Vegetable Spring Rolls and Tart with Kale & Pork Tenderloin

Main:  Lobster Tail & Filet Mignon, Sweet & Sour Fried Shrimp, Spaghetti Carbonara, Chesapeke Crab Cake

Dessert: Nutella Tiramisu, Carnival Melting Cake, Cheesecake

 

If I have any of the above during any of my cruises, I'm a happy camper.  If I get to have all of them, I'm probably booking a second cruise that year on Carnival.  MDR never disappoints me.  I have 3 cruises on Carnival booked for 2020.

I haven't been on a Carnival cruise since 2007 (but will be on Panorama this May!). But back then, it was chicken satay- which I think was an appetizer? It was strips of grilled chicken on a skewer with a spicy peanut sauce. That was over a decade ago, so I doubt I'll see it again, but I'm sure I'll have fun picking a new favorite. 😉

 

What is Buttered Popcorn Pot De Creme? That sounds interesting.
