Don't know yet,Man U might want him back.We contracted for Islington Council for 6 years and watched the new stadium being built from start to finish.My most risky and dangerous moment was singing Barcelona in the middle of 6 acres council estate the day after they lost the Champions league final.Sorry,Brian.

I'm sure some of you are old enough to remember the last time we beat Germany.  I was in Italy, in either Grado or Lido di Jesolo, on holiday, and my mother and I went to the beach, while hubby went to find a bar with TV.  He sat in a bar full of  of Germans and Italians, so kept pretty quiet at the end.

I thought of this comment when I saw this recent twitter thread "we are anecdotally seeing an exponential growth in those with #needlephobia" (click though to read more) I guess the younger cohorts and the walkins are brining them out.

 

Personally I would not describe myself as "needlephobia" but instead simply having a mild dislike for needles. Anxious in the room knowing having injection or blood taken & very much like to keep the conversation going with the person whist making sure I'm not looking at the equipment. Fingers crossed never fainted but can understand how the triggered anxiousness can cause someone to faint

We had a similar experience in reverse in Lido di Jesolo,on our drive home in 2014.Uraguay stuffed us in a restaurant full of Germans.At least the waiters were from Calabria and sympathised,lol.

Morning all.  Been absent for a few days on lovely family things so haven’t posted.  Have caught up on news though

It feels like home-based holidays are booming.  Really difficult finding a lunchtime table yesterday - though we did and here’s the salmon & caper fish cakes for Brian.  Home made chips too - just glorious

 

 

 

There appeared to be lots of people 30s, 40s, 50, happy to spend out on eating.  I wonder if they would normally be in Spain, Greece, on a cruise etc?

 

You don’t have to walk far to find tranquility though.  
Have a tranquil day, everyone.  Enjoy the tennis, if that’s your thing

Hi Eddie pleased you’ve had a lovely few days away and enjoyed yourselves in one of the lovely areas I love . I also been away for 3 days in London going to a few restaurants we wanted to tick of our list which will be coming up , London was quite quite considering which made it even more better, so I think I’ve already posted pictures of Hard Rock Cafe , picture of a huge monkfish which we didn’t eat 😁, so lunch in Harrods which was pasta , then on to Tom kerridge’s bar & grill, and then a five tasting lunch menu in the Hide restaurant . Sorry I’ve uploaded so many but thought I’d give you all some food porn as Wowzz calls it but first thing in morning this time so no Pringles wowzz to munch on 😁 Have a lovely day everyone.

Thanks Michelle but I’m back home now to the real world and beans on toast for dinner tonight just want something plain for a day or two , back to work looking after the in-laws 😂

Hi Eddie,I was thinking of you 2 days ago.Got a huge Monkfish tail in Tesco reduced from 13 to 6 quid and 2 whole lemon soles for 2.50.Looking for recipes now.Cheers,Brian.

Good morning hope everyone is ok 

When you put the TV news on they start by saying "good morning " and  then spend the next ten minutes telling you why it isn't  Fear not though I'm here to try and brighten your morning .I have been watching ships AIS and am pleased to say that Britannia has completed her cruise and is now docked saying goodbye to the passengers and eagerly awaiting more new passengers who sail today  a new start to cruising, a new month ,things are getting better.

Even you lot on here are traveling to nice places and having nice meals out ,which is nice to see. I haven't been out for a meal for ages but the last time we did  I said to the waitress, ....."Can I see the menu please? "She said, "the men I please has nothing to do with you".

Happy days !  Take care and stay safe

Morning all, pleased to see the sun today, a miserable week of weather this week in my corner of the country.

 

Trying to get my clothes together yesterday for my holiday , I did quite a bit of ironing but didn’t really decide definitely what to take. So hard to pack for an English summer holiday! I find it easier to pack for off season breaks!

 

Really enjoyed those two football matches the other day and of course the England one. I also watched the last hour of Andy Murray yesterday, thrilling stuff!
