So if your bag is in the hallway and someone with an iPhone walks by it, I assume it would mark the spot even if the iPhone is not there any longer and as long as the bag is not moved.

Could you quickly walk down the hall with an IPhone then check the app and find it?

I would guess the phone would neeed to be online to the internet to pass the info to the cloud.

Correct.  The iPhone of the person walking past your bag would report the location of the bag (assuming they have a cellular or WiFi connection) so that you can see the bag's location.  If you are then close to the bag, you can use your own phone to zero in on where the bag is specifically located.  More info:

@LuckynanaMaryann- hang in there. That drive to FL is no picnic.

My hubby and I drove I95 many times round trip NY to FL.

I was always glad when we arrived on Hutchinson Island.

Hoping the remainder of your trip goes well.

Safe travels,

MJ🙋🏻

Thank you MJ   we were about 40 miles from SC and traffic abruptly stopped.  We've been sitting here for almost 45 minutes.  No one knows what's going on.  Even the truck drivers have no idea.  I guess they don't have cb radios anymore.🤷

Very informative video. So you have to depend on people keeping blue tooth active on their phones. I typically keep it turned off to save battery life unless connected to my car or ear buds. Maybe many people keep it on.

I hope all stay well.

Take care

I leave mine on all of the time. The battery doesn't show it using any power,

@xpcdoojkso sorry to hear how sick you were for Christmas.  Not Covid in our house, but pretty sick household.  Quietest Christmas and Christmas Eve.  Luckily, all are finally on the mend.

I so wanted to hug my grandsons last night before we headed for Florida.  He put on his hoodie and a mask and we had the bestest hug ever!  Man, I love these kids!!!💕

I am glad to hear everyone is on the mend.     Safe travels ❤️

I leave mine on all of the time also.  I recharge every night and rarely have a problem running out of battery.  When I do, it's from doing something video intensive and not related to bluetooth.  No real need to turn off bluetooth to save battery.

I'm beginning to dread our vacation to Disney in 3 weeks. First time flying since Covid. Seems everyone is getting sick again after traveling.

If this doesn't go well I fear my Wife will ground us for other upcoming planned vacations. 😞

3 weeks from now things should be much calmer, kids will be back to school and less travelers, hopefully.

Several years ago when Eric had his transplant we were told to schedule an appt. with the Infectious Disease Dr at Penn Medicine.    This Dr. taught us the proper way to wash our hands and also advised us when flying to bring anti-bacterial wipes and wipe down the armrests, food tray, basically anything you may touch while seating.    then when done wiping down everything to use purell on your hands.    If you have any open cuts on your hands to use a band-aid.     She had also instructed us to always use the hand wipes that are provided at food stores to wipe down your shopping cart, not just the handle but the side or very end if you have the tendency to grab a shopping cart from the end opposite the handle.     There were many things she covered and a lot of them were the same practices some doctors said to use during covid.      If you are worried about covid/flu, etc. while flying maybe you want to use some of these practices and/or wear a mask if you feel they will help you.

"They" say pretty much everyone will have covid at same time in their life.   Time to live life and enjoy

Sue, hope you feel better soon!  You might love your Claritin, Tylenol, etc., but I bet I would love your wedding soup.

+1 @JimboI love it!

I think the floor will look even better in the evening once we get the pendant lights working and get the can lights over the cabinets working. Plus we are having a brunch of dimmer switches installed.

Now for some Food Porn, just got back from Dinner.

The Pompeii Pizza...... Artichokes, kalamata olives, fresh mushrooms and diced tomatoes with fresh basil. No sauce    Large $21.50

Veal Cutlet Parmigiana  ..... A breaded veal cutlet with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese   $ 21.75

I think in the good old days when smart phones first came out, Bluetooth & WiFi were considered energy hogs. I don't know if that was true and technology has evolved or it if was an old wives tale but I've read recently what just having Bluetooth turned on will only use 2% of the battery life day.

The big energy hog these days is having screen brightness turned up and location-based apps running in the background. My phone will suggest removing location permissions from an app if I haven't used in 60 days, in order to improve battery life.

That is interesting. I need to test that. There are youtube videos that say turning blue tooth off when not being used is good for extending battery time.

You can tell that the east coast people get up much earlier than those west coasters.

I was up, and did a five mile walk with my daughter before 7am.  Then some pool time and beach time for sandcastle building 101 with our east coast grandkids.

We had this built and were back to the house, just as our west coast grandson got up. 🤣🤣

Your family makes the best sandcastles and sand creatures.    So happy to see your family able to be together and enjoy some R & R and the weather warmed up for your trip.    💕

Evidently I have been using my card too much.  I got one of these, just after they rang up the big dinner bill.

Maybe it was some of these excellent desserts the grandkids ordered.

I guess it is a good thing that they keep a close tab on any charges that seem out of the ordinary.

This is so strange. No police cars, fire trucks, tow trucks going by.  Everyone has turned off their car and truck engines.  Can't find a news station on the radio with any info.  🤷

I hope you are finally moving.  Maybe there are too many people driving to their cruises, after the airline meltdown. I know I am not looking forward to that drive back north next week.

We're still recouping from the holidays here.  We lost power, electricity, phones, and internet on 12/23, getting it back on 12/24, early afternoon.  We had a friend over when the power came back on, and they stayed for a few hours, so we couldn't even start our baking until 7 or 8PM on Christmas Eve.  All we had time to bake was cookies and brownies!  Pies and anything else couldn't be baked!  We lost power for a total of about 17 hours.

@h20skibum I love those alerts from credit card companies!

😃 I will have to check how mine are set-up. My bank lets me charge happily away, and then when I go to pay the balance on bill pay, it flags it and says, "This amount is much larger than your usual payment". Duh, paying off cruises kind of runs the balance up. 🙄
