Thanks for taking us along!  Were you the first on the plane or did it remain that empty.  The market place pic are nice.  Crazy how nice the flowers are this time of year.  Enjoy the cruise!

Thank you.  We were Group D to board so most people have boarded already.  I’d say it’s about 1/3 full.  I was able to move around (after seatbelt sign was off) to pick a desireable window seat for picture taking.

Enjoyed you sharing your trip with us.  This is a tough time to find a house to buy with prices exploding.  Hope you have a safe trip home.

Thanks!  We are a bit too savy with our money to buy in a "seller's market" I guess.  Will try again next year. 😉

Travel was a big part of our retirement plans.  Unfortunately for us (and may other people here), that part of retirement has been delayed.  Having our 3 week Italy dream trip cancelled last fall really hurt. There's always next year.

Not cancelled for us...just replaced.

4 week tour with 2 week B2B on Radiance in Alaska last year...still went.  Just not the cruise...replaced with two week stay in remote cabin...far from Covid populations.

23 cruises cancelled.  Replaced with land trips, and spending the summer in Maine (was supposed to be international this year with trip to Australia, Tasmania, NZ, SP, and finish with TP to Vancouver).

Also gave us time to gut and remodel both bathrooms at home this winter.  😉

25th Anniversary trip to Hawaii...replaced with extending our time up here in Maine.

We made things work....just not what we wanted...as others had to .

That is very nice the owner is letting you store some items at her house during the winter.     Does she rent the home out for winter months?

No, she closes it up.  They have already drained the water lines and are starting to board the windows.  It is sooo close to the shoreline, deck right over the rocks.  They, however, are full time and winter it out in the big house they live in next door.  It's beautiful!!  They gave us a tour yesterday...drool!!  🙂

I know I cannot imagine doing these 3 or 4 night cruises on Freedom.   It is tough enough for me to get off the ship after a 7 night sailing.   We, too prefer to b2b's and b2b2b's if price is right.    Works for us since we can work anywhere as long as we have wifi.

We did a lot of 3/4 night weekend cruises when I was still working (the previous job...not the last 24/7 career).  I had liberal weekend time, which was perfect (wine distributor business).  😉

Now...a week is just too short.  Lots of time to cruise...but can't seem to get on a ship the last two years!  😮 😮

Let’s go out the back exit of the market and see we find.  There is a secret garden with planter boxes of vegetables and herbs that’s run by volunteers and benefits the community.

Here’s our friendly pig.

I know exactly where the secrete garden is. We've signed one of the pigs (not the one you posted) and the door.

Wrapping up the Utah trip…

we left Moab around 9:30am Monday and began what was to be a long travel day back home.

We stopped in well known Palisade, CO for some peaches. As we drove in I remembered the winery I had tried at the wine festival I went to last weekend. I had really enjoyed their peach wine and thought mom would too.
Did someone say wine?! 😉

Kenzie was born at 10:04 AM a year ago today. We were just sent her one year old birthday pictures.  Hope you don’t mind so many pics but it’s hard to pick just one. They plan to come visit us at noon.

We drove on to Glenwood Springs and stopped for lunch at Juicy Lucy’s. Mom loved it but I thought it left a lot to be desired.

After that we were pretty much in traffic the entire rest of the day. At one point I went 4 miles in an hour 😬

the end. ❤️

Thanks for posting and sharing  all the photos and video.

The landscape was awesome and you both seemed to have an amazing time.

@Sea Dog what @bobmacliberty is great advice.  You don’t realize how much stress your job brings until you stop. After retiring I would still start tensing up on Sunday evenings.  My wife would notice and say,  Hey John, you know what you are doing tomorrow? …. Nothing.  I would feel my shoulder muscles relax.

Some would ask how retirement was going expecting a negative response. I would put on a somewhat sad face and say in a kind of sad voice…… Well you know, …. People build up retirement to be such a great thing…. Well,  IT’S SOOOO MUCH BETTER!!!

I am making notes of all this great advice. Thank you.

Maybe you should join us at the end of April on Ovation.  Cruising from Hawaii to Vancouver.  Do a B2B and knock Hawaii and Alaska off the bucket list.  We have not booked Alaska yet.  We are waiting to see if our daughter would join us.

Sounds very tempting. Right now we have four booked. Hmmmm, double points.

Morning sunrise. So worth running out to see it. It would only be better from a cruise ship.

Must be where you live because we never get these kind of sunrises and sunsets that you get. Absolutely beautiful.
