Oh I hate when we have to put the heat on.  Eric is usually the first one to do it.  I hold out as long as possible.

We were up in the Poconos last week and had to put the heat on a few mornings to take the chill off the house, wasn't happy.

One of the things I like about Ohio State games is the respect for the band.

One special memory I will always have is my grandpa Wynd love for the Ohio State marching band.  I can still see him sitting in his living room with the record player playing their music. He lived to be 100.  When he was in his upper 90’s (98 or 99 or maybe 100🤔 ) a portion of the Ohio State Marching Band came to the retirement home to celebrate his birthday!

Two of my mom’s brothers also lived to bee 100.  The band also came and celebrated uncle bob’s 100th birthday.

(I thought I posted this a couple hours ago but went to post again and it’s still here!  Excuse me if it’s a second post.)

Lucy saying good bye as we head out to the arena.  She must be starting to wonder if we are living at home.

It’s the third time here this week for development ice. Tryouts for the hockey rep team start on Friday.

Thankfully soccer just ended on Thursday, with a win.  Baseball tryouts won’t start until hockey tryouts end. Meanwhile football tryouts are still ongoing.

Is Owen enjoying high school, the answer is yes.  Mom and dad, we just need a cruise for an escape.

As much as I love Ohio State, Virginia Tech has a pretty awesome entrance tradition with Enter Sandman from Metallica.  Although the song is older than all of the players and probably all of the students, it gets them really pumped up.

Very different from Enter Sandman, but I also really like the newer tradition at Iowa where they wave to kids in the nearby Children's Hospital at the end of the 1st quarter.

We  live now about 30 minutes from Hokies Stadium in Blacksburg, Va. , I have to get to a game soon. That video fired me up for Hokies Football!!

Lasagna leftovers, day 1.

It will last forever

That reminds me. I will have to pick up the ingredients to make lasagna soon. After seeing yours. We make it with Ricotta. And I will make it in little pans like yours. Last time I made lasagna, it wasn't tall enough. Thanks! :classic_biggrin:

Just arrived home after a Five and a half hour drive home from Southampton after a 7 night seacation cruise on P&O new ship Iona.

We had a fantastic time even though we visited no ports but sailed 1300 nautical miles.

I hope everyone is well.

Graham.

How wonderful, and so very special that some of the Ohio State Band members honored your grandpa and uncle Bob's birthdays.  Longevity certainly runs in your family!!

Laura's been making it in square pans ever since we became empty nesters. Same amount as the oblong, just two bakes. Or give one to neighbors

Today is our 28th anniversary. Celebrated with dinner at our club tonight. They gave us some champagne to start the night, some raspberry creme brûlée for dessert, and some caramel macarons to bring home. VERY good Wagyu beef tenderloin for our meal (sorry, no pics of the beef). Great view while eating. A very good way to start our cruise week. TOMORROW IS CRUISE DAY!

We just got home, only to drop him off at the arena again, to watch the Junior C team play. In less than an hour, pizza was consumed and he had a shower along with two 15 minute drives each way. We for sure are looking for things to slow down a bit.
