Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

That’s just one pattern we are working on for the Rodeo. Typically, the course will take 90-120 seconds to run for the good riders. The key is to not touch a cone. Each touch adds +2 seconds to the run. Foot down, +5 seconds. Clean runs get time bonus. -5 seconds for each clean run. Two timed runs, both clean, -5 seconds. So if you have 2 clean runs, you get a 15 second bonus (deduction from total time).  It pays to run clean.

Seems like it would be a fun afternoon to just come watch.

That's funny. There must be a huge pile of them by now.

I learned in Monterey Bay. Cold but pretty. The chocolate ab dives were always fun.

Imagine they have put a stop to this practice by now, but yeah I'm sure there is quite the collection at the bottom of the lakes.  Ask your husband if he remembers Onondaga Lake (AKA the most polluted lake in America).

Thanks...but just took yet another (and totally expected) hit yesterday at 4 pm (right during happy hour of all things!! 😮 ).   Harmony 12/6 was cancelled.  Sigh...another refund request.  Though the last one for 11/29 came in at an unreal 2 weeks.  Quickest it ever came!

Book, Wait, Cancel, Refund, Repeat.  Cruise Life in 2020 is exciting and suspenseful.

Thanks, I will.  Though it's something he does not like to talk about.  Had a pretty tough time there, part of "boots on the ground".   And of course there was no such thing as a hero's welcome like the military does when they get home now.

I get it. Only there for 6 weeks and certainly no heroes welcome home.

Same with my DH.  DH also lost his cousin over there.  DH had just 6 weeks left to his tour, he was sent to Delaware to escort his cousin's body back to S.I.  After the funeral, DH was sent back to Viet Nam to finish his tour.  Horrible.

NYC did, after many, many years, hold a parade for the Viet Nam Veterans.  Our daughters were quite young, but got to see their dad march up Broadway....

So sorry he went through that as well.  It's nice that our military is so welcomed now...but it was sure not very good for the ones who came home from Vietnam indeed.  Very sad.

We had a cold snap this weekend - low of 28 and then all of the sudden, summer is back for the next 6 days with highs in the mid 70's.  Looks like we will be able to take advantage of outdoor dining a few more times.

Yesterday was cold with a north wind.  Overnight it is supposed to get down to the low 40s.  Brrr.  I am glad our restaurants are open for dine in here.  We have a new one I want to try this week that just opened.  I cleaned out and organized my freezer and pantry in preparation for the holidays.  I can fit a turkey in the freezer now.

Probably Monastery Beach? :classic_biggrin:

It was in Monterey Bay, but we also did the Monastery Crawl a few times which was rough. Also dove up north on the other side of SF. Salt Point State Park and a few others.

This was the text he sent me. I'm to lazy to go downstairs right now. 😂

Only went there a couple of times. There used to be a spring regatta that was more drinking than sailing. That's also where I did my physical test for the Marines, before I decided to go Navy. I scuba dove in lake Skaneateles which is south west of Syracuse.

Love it.  My wife and I also text in the house, we prefer it to yelling for each other.

Have to thank my MIL for this photo last night. No filter. Better yet, the snow has melted today.

All the items I took to the farm auction last week have been in an on-line auction this week. Tomorrow afternoon is the soft close and our items are selling well.  Much better than collecting dust here.

I was curious to see what else was in the sale, and I came across this item.  After a few joking texts with the auctioneer, he commented that it would look great with Christmas lights on it. I told Lisa about his comment and without missing a beat she said “All Christmas Parades this year have been cancelled”.  She is a sharp one. LOL

Even though it would be a nice match to my 72 F250 4X4 I haven’t bid. I do have my eye on something else, not at the auction.  Lisa is barely warming up to it. 🙂

wow! @A&L_Ont fingers crossed for your sale!

sunset pic tonight (even tho it’s 4:30) from my office window

Two beautiful sunsets, but I have to give the edge to @A&L_Ont

The auction sounds so much better than a yard sale.  The truck looks in great shape.  Christmas parade or not, can you ever have enough trucks?

@singinalot I thought you would be off to Florida?

Please do not think this is political in any way.  Happy Day After Our Election.  The first day in months I have not gotten multiple phone calls and text messages from candidates and pacts.   Regardless of who wins, I am so thankful that my Youtube ad's are back to normal.

Me too.

I also burned through a few bags of chips, being all dressed, dill pickle and ketchup.

Good practice.  I used to use WhatsApp when my daughters lived with me.   Only in the next room but much better for your vocal cords - and I live in a block of flats and it is also sometimes better that neighbours don't hear that supper is ready.

One night I'm sitting in the family room, when I get a text "Dinner".  I turn around and look my wife is 10-12 feet from me, I look at her and say "Okay".  She startles and says "I had no idea you were sitting there".

Sorry, guess I should have texted.

Gosh you learn so much here.  I never knew that happened.  Politics in Gibraltar happens on a smaller scale.

I find it really hard to get my head around the length of time it takes to hear the outcome.  If Simon Cowell had been behind the vote I think that we would have found out by now.

just boarded in Colorado Springs to Houston. Cute little plane!

Looks like the kind of plane where the pilot is also the one that loads the luggage and the co-pilot is also the steward(ess). 😀

Safe travels.  Hope you guys find what you're looking for in FLA, and that you both have a great trip.

Ditto that!

Maybe you need to start mumbling to yourself or wearing loud, florescent orange clothing.

I've been know to text people across the table when sitting at too loud restaurants/bars that make it impossible for me to have a conversation unless someone is yelling into my ear.
