Our flight leaves in 5 hours. back to Colorado we go

Happy anniversary.  Seems like just yesterday that Nate proposed on your Greek cruise.  See anything that you liked with the real estate agent?

Let’s try to keep the controversial vaccine talk off this thread. There are other threads currently active for that.  Let’s not doom this one like the others.

This thread has survived since March and will have a good chance to last for some time longer.

This thread is like checking up on family. Perhaps a little argument with Uncle Joe and Shmoe somewhere along, some recipes from Auntie Jane, a little chat with cousin Sue, some pet stories, some pictures, some prayers, some tears and some smiles.....don't know about others, but it really keeps me going. I wish someday I can see you all in person on a cruise.....I guess there will be no need for introductions.

That is crazy, one would wonder if they didn’t have insurance on the boat. I just think about how many cruises I could gone on for the value of it. 🤔

Busy day.  Quick nutshell.

Lucy did the walk of shame after being out all night.  She slept all day.

Over the weekend we had family Christmas photos taken.  You all can see them next month.

Corn harvest 2020 was also completed.

The owner of our local Ford dealer also stopped by with his new toy, a Shelby GT500.  Lisa joked that it was probably the most gravel it has ever seen. He agreed.

On a side note, Lisa now has a better idea of what I am working on.  It will be different but similar.  Owen approves, Lisa accepts me as I am.😉😁

My mom is in memory care. I was just contacted by one of her nurses that she tested positive.

@dani negreanu it feels like we now need a "Hopes and Prayers" button.  Am I stealing that from you, again like the sorry button?

Our thoughts with you all and your families.  @Bailey & Sophie my mom is a similar care unit, she actually got moved in on March 15th just as things got crazy.  My sisters are very upset that were not allowed to go in and see her currently (pandemic rules).  While I miss seeing her, I'm thankful that she is safe.

The first is from Grandma’s neighborhood. She said the vet that lives here puts new water out every day for the runners and puppies in the neighborhood.

As a jogger (former runner pre back issues)  I love this idea.  I'm borrowing it for my neighborhood, lots of cardio warriors every morning.

My mother use to refer to us staying out all night as "Catting Around", i suppose this is what she meant.

Personally, I believe raisins ruin anything they are in.

Thanks for the kind thoughts

We haven't been to see her since March. She no longer speaks so a face chat won't work. She never got the hang of computers so I don't know how long she would even stay focused.

We walked out to the marina in Bluewater Bay. The hurricane a couple of months ago took out the dock and this boat. We were told the boat was $500,000 and is incurring fines daily.

Ouch.

What kind of crane is even needed to get that out?

To lift something like that they usually use air bags. They put the bags under it and then slowly start to inflate them while pumping water out.

Happy Anniversary and many more to come.

Ugh, lots of work today and again tomorrow. So many wet boxes from Christmas, Halloween and other holiday decorations. Boxes of orchid and Wedgwood books. Tons of stuff such orchid supplies, etc.

The canal pictures were taken at 4:30 this afternoon and the docks were still underwater. At least our street has drained. Down the canal and house across from us.

If it rains any more, your going to have think about loading 2 of every kind of animal on those boats.

People who have never been flooded don't really understand how that much water just destroys things.
