July cruises not able to be booked (No rates available for the stateroom category and the number of travelers you selected)

Getting this error for both of my July cruises out of Florida (Breeze and Paradise):

No rates available for the stateroom category and the number of travelers you selected.

I wonder if they're blocking cruises for cancellation again, or for reduced capacity?

I just checked on four random cruises in July.  You are right - nothing available.  August is fine.

Edited to add:  We are booked on the Paradise for July 9.  I did a price check this morning and it was available then.

There was a thread last night about talk someone into booking a late june cruise at a really good rate. The op said it was the last chance to book. I wondered how they knew?

This happened last month and then a couple weeks later the cruises were canc. Who knows. I'm booked but expecting to get cancelled.

I have noticed the past couple of days on the carnival site you could no longer click on june out of Galveston.. so that was a big hint. I'm booked june 28

We had a B2B booked on Conquest June 26 and 29.  June 26 has already cancelled (which our TA accurately predicted a month before Carnival cancelled it officially) and according to our TA, she said that she is 99% sure that the 2nd leg on June 29 will also be cancelled very soon.

Just passing along the info.  It's worth what you paid for it. LOL

Just got this email reply to my inquiry from Carnival:

I reviewed further and I am seeing that both sailings are still scheduled to go out at this time, but it seems that inventory on current sailings are being carefully managed and do not allow booking any new cabins and making cabin changes on these dates.

That is a good sign.  We would be perfectly happy to be on one of the first, capacity-controlled sailings.

Seems like they are moving ahead with cruising soon. Just lets drop off some staff in different parts of the world and limit the inventory so that we don't over book the 5 people we are allowed to have on the ship at a time. I remember just a short time ago people claiming they were cruising in April, then May and now June. Its like roulette at some point the ball will fall in my number!

I will believe it when I see it. They keep talking a big game and people are being brave and strong with the lines - I am not afraid and we need to live our lives...But I am not so sure they are ready to take the liability for what could happen and we know enough but don't know anywhere close to everything about this virus, which is what make non essential vacations not a necessity. They are ready to take more of anyone's money for cruises that wont happen - and that is what they are doing and continue to do.

Ain't going to be any CCL cruise's July, Aug. Sept and on and on.  Get used to it.

Galveston is opening tomorrow at 25% capacity on churchs, gun ranges, stores etc. See how that goes.

No one knows

Why would they block them because of possible cancellations? Heald is consistently stating that cruises will resume and everything will be back to normal by the end of June. There’s no way more cruises will be cancelled if his information is accurate.

John also said this about May cruises then June cruises which have been cancelled. He also said it when the first few months of Mardi Gras sailings were zero'd out online and then the Radiance. When they initially cancelled May cruises, the Legend European sailings disappeared but he said they were not planning on cancelling them when they did just that a week later. Heald is a Public Relations spokesperson for Carnival. Anything he says should be taken as a grain of salt for the time being.

Arizona is opening up May 15th. Trump is also not extending his order. The Mexican Riviera appears ready for business.

This. These cruise lines know they cannot afford to risk another PR disaster if covid-19 spreads out of control on a sailing when they restart. They won't be restarting until they have the ability to test people and monitor people during the voyage.  I still hope something is in place for my end of August cruise on the Panorama, even if its a cruise to nowhere.

His live video was as recent as this morning though 🙂

They will go bankrupt before a vaccine is made. They cannot wait...so you really think cruise ships, casinos, and movie theaters are not going to open ASAP?

Please re-read what I said since I made no mention of a vaccine. A vaccine doesn't impact "the ability to test people and monitor people during a voyage." Quick result covid-19 testing is what I'm referring to. And yes, I agree people cannot wait for a vaccine that might never happen.

My point is he has been saying this for months and none of it has turned out to be true. Eventually he will be correct but just because he says something now doesn't mean its the case. Just keep it in the back of your mind when hearing what he has to say.

It could be a capacity issue. keep on eye on it for a few days. if the cruise disappears from the website, then it is canceled.

you would be surprised how fast these sailing sell out now. ppl have been stuck at home for months , many do want to go asap.

We rebooked our cancelled March cruise for an August 9th cruise on the Glory out of New Orleans (knowing there was a chance it would also be cancelled). I just checked and it's no longer listed at all. Hoping that isn't a bad sign!
