We’ll see!  Promises, promises!  🙄  No rain yet, but if you look at the radar, you would think it’s raining!

What happens to the people who were supposed to head out on Saturday on the Symphony? Does their cruise now get shortened by a day since they now have to head out on Sunday?

Most likely will be cut short 1 day to not impact all the other future cruises.   I guess if they tested Thursday for their Saturday departure they will have retest for a Sunday departure.

My parents were leaving tomorrow and it just got postponed till Sunday. They will get onboard credit for the day that they will miss. My children are going with them and are heart broken right now. We live in Miami so not a big deal in terms of traveling to Port.

The Independence left Port Canaveral this afternoon. She left ahead of the Disney ship. The Disney ship is ahead of her now. Disney is by the carnival Liberty which left PC first. The Liberty is heading to Nassau just like the Independence. Now I see the Independence is heading east instead of south. Has anyone heard anything?

Harmony captain announced at dinner, we will still arrive on time on Sunday, but will take a different route around the Bahamas to get there.

To bad you weren't on a Saturday to Saturday sailing, you would have got a free extra day on your cruise like Symphony  passengers are getting.

This brings up an interesting question.  Will the people who supposed to board SY today (now delayed until Sunday) have to restest to be within allowable dates or will they honor the tests even though they might be a day late now ?

Hope the Harmony captain does better in docking a ship in inclement weather than he did in Jamaica.

Fingers crossed for everyone on board.

Email from Royal states Symphony will depart Sunday at 7pm. We will miss Coco Cay. Covid testing will be honored based on original sail date so no need to retest.

So basically testing doesn't matter.

I wonder if CDC approved that

It was announced that testing for the original Saturday departure would be honored for the new Sunday embarkation.

For those passengers on Symphony, just checked 1 airline.. Southwest they are allowing free changes to reschedule your flights within 14 days to your destination.

Sure other airlines are doing the same thing.

  • Miami, FL (MIA)
  • Orlando, FL (MCO)

Customers who are holding reservations to/from/through the cities listed above on the corresponding dates may rebook in the original class of service or travel standby (within 14 days of their original date of travel between the original city-pairs and in accordance with our accommodation procedures) without paying any additional charge.

I would guess because of this, more then the usually will become positive on this sailing, just gives those passengers 1 extra day in the Florida area to pick up the virus somewhere today in their travel around Florida.

One less day of quarantining on the ship now though since it's only a 6 nighter . 🙂

Not exactly a lot of touristy type things to do in south Florida today though. Unless you're into street swimming.

Don't worry, people will find a place somewhere to gather closely.

Eh...not worried.  I think it is just going to be a wet arrival.  Luckily parked inside the garage for luggage transfer on Sunday.  🙂  It's really dreary, light spitting rain right now...and terribly humid.

I think the Casino and shops will be happy today...and the bars.  😉  Don't even want to venture inside the Solarium...probably chair hog heaven.

I live in Naples. The weather is cloudy, no wind, and intermittent rain --- sometimes a light drizzle and then a break and then heavier rain when the squall comes through (every hour or two). Nothing to worry about. Sunday is supposed to be mostly sunny. This is not a hurricane.
