I’m with you. I still have a Hero 4 but haven’t used it in a long time. I had all kinds of visions of using it when I bought it but even back then, my days of skiing and other action sports was long behind me.

As most of you know always good to book the Aqua Theater shows toward the front end of the cruise since they can get cancelled due to weather or sea conditions. We had some storms in the area but they went ahead and started it.

I love this show. The performers are amazing. I don't know how they do it on a moving ship. The music was so incredible. If you are interested there is a Spotify playlist of all the music.

Here is a montage of some video I shot with my phone.

 

 

Hiro started 10 minutes early. Midway into the show It starting raining. Eventually lightning started and they had to call the show after 40 minutes. Considering the show is 50 minutes long at least we saw the he majority of it. I completely understand why they had to stop it. We will try and watch it again later in the week.

 

Back at the cabin I shot some video of the lightning on my phone. Oh how I wish I had the Go Pro now. Here is a short clip.

I love the Schooner Bar. It's the favorite place that this Sea Dog likes to hangout. If you ever see me on a cruise with my Sea Dog shirt come say hi. I always enjoy the piano players that play in the Schooner. On Symphony it was a piano player from England Daniel Marks.

I met Schooner bartender Donald who was a great guy and great bartender. He took good care of me. I made sure to tip him $1 per drink. After several of these it was time to say goodnight.  It had been a long day and a great one. I was looking forward to being nestled all snug in my bed;

I tried the lamb chops at Jamie's on Ovation for the first time in July and I must say I was impressed...my new favorite dish there.

I'm only 7 months in on the knee. Doc says it may take a year. I really liked the lamb chops, so tender.

I have always loved the schooner bar with the piano, hoping to avoid knee surgery unless it is totally needed , my dad refused to do his second knee surgery after the first, although I have friends that said it wasn’t a big deal .

I was really impressed with Jaime's.  We ordered the lamb chops medium rare.  It seemed to come out medium to medium-well.  We mentioned it to the server just to let them know, but it wasn't a huge deal because the lamb wasn't dry and didn't taste overcooked.  But, I guess the server passed it on and one of the chefs came out to apologize, and we were able to discuss recipes with her, so it was a win-win. 🙂

Later Linda and I went to the Windjammer for breakfast.

 

 

That was a mistake. The food was horrible and not hot. My so called cheese omelet had no cheese in it.

 

 

After breakfast we went to the Solarium and snagged a day bed right in front. 

 

 

 

Pro Tip: The Solarium can get pretty hot with the windows but there are a few that open. Get a lounger on the day bed right in the middle that has the open window in front with a nice breeze the whole time.

Later it was time to attend the Top Tier event

 

 

It did not get her name but she had a ton of points.

I totally dislike windjammer that’s was one of the reasons we like other lines , but with suites you never have to eat breakfast there and on oasis class you also never have to eat lunch there.

We were on Symphony in June and after our first experience with the Windjammer, we stuck to the Solarium Bistro the rest of the week.
