I believe it is just location. My problem with that is I would rather sail aft than midship

All of our future bookings have had no change in fares for quite awhile.  🤷‍♂️

and yesterday, there it was, a nice price drop on both.

We are on Discovery, Nov 30, 2024, price is still running about $700 more than when we booked (Owners suite, w/Premier). Booked about 3 months ago (give or take) when itinerary was first released.

 

No complaint, just some anecdotal evidence that sometimes a sale isn't a sale for everyone.

Well, thank you for posting this thread. I have had such poor luck with any of my sailings decreasing in price I didn’t event bother to look. After reading here I gathered up my courage and checked. By golly, it is $500 less. 🙂

We booked the Enchanted for Jan 9, 2025 (20 Days) and Jan 29, 2025 (10days) in July 2023. We happened to look yesterday and the price dropped significantly. The 20 day dropped $1600 and the 10 day dropped $902. Huge savings $2500!!! Same cabin, same everything.

Our cabin on the July 24 C/NE out of Boston on the Emerald is a little over $500 more than what we have booked. None of our three other booked sailings are down either.  No deals for us ;o(

I do see what I think might be a minor gotcha on this. Booking the lowest category price within a meta category means a non-refundable deposit these days, or so I've been told by my PVP. The promo says it's for new bookings only. So, in my case if I canceled and rebooked an upcoming, getting the better cabin for the lower cabin price, wouldn't that mean a non-refundable deposit? For me, that makes it a gamble, betting that nothing will prevent me from actually going on the cruise. Hmmm.

I was booking a cruise with my cvp yesterday. After that was done she checked two other cruises which were booked earlier. Saved $1500 on one and $700 on the other. So I was happy to save $2200 with a phone call.

Thanks to the "heads up" from Mary Loves to Travel, we were able to get a nice price drop on our upcoming cruise, too. (With some help from our PVP)

I saw an interesting thing. I did a mock booking, no OBC, then I logged in to see if Veteran's OBC would be applied and it was, but also $100 each Promotional OBC showed up 12 day cruise.

I didn’t get my $600 drop in price, I got a $1400 drop in price as well as upgrade from plus to premier. Happy cruiser

We were able to refare and save $1250 for our DD as 3rd person. We lost $600 in EZ air discount that we didn’t even know we had. So we still saved almost enough to cover her Plus fare and are fine with that.

Our PVP checked our 2 booked cruises…one was $2000+ higher, the other she refaced and saved us $900…evidently Norway is more popular than New Zealand…
