We've just had canvas print reproductions of our one late and two current dogs.

Our first dog, Ninja. Just the best dog ever:

Then we have Harley. Six years old now and definitely the wise elder statesman:

And, finally, Little Tuppence who came to us as an eight-week-old pup two years ago:

So, OK, labradors aren't compulsory. But they should be!

Beautiful beasties TTS. I’m up to 6 cats and 3 dogs now, all in a Cottage. Here are a couple of my favourite photies. Anybody that doesn’t love animals should just be electrocuted.

The older I get the more I like animals.  I was attacked by an Alsatian when I was about  4 , and was terrified of dogs for many years, but  gradually have come to like them - those of my friends, mostly labs., and now tend to think they are usually nicer than some people!  And certainly more beautiful, as your pictures show.  I have always loved cats, having found our lovely Tibby as a kitten lost in our garden when I was about 10, one Christmas Eve.  His first meal with us was the chicken or turkey giblets, so he never left.  (We did try to find his owner, but luckily no one claimed him).

Love all the pictures of everyone’s darling cats and dogs!
I’m currently aboard the Silver Spirit and this is my first trip since having installed Ring cameras in the house - and it’s a bit fascinating to learn about some of Marino’s nocturnal routines that I wasn’t aware of.  But also a bit sad to see him looking for me - on the second night and every night since, he’s gone into my bedroom looking for me as soon as the automatic timer turned on the light in there.  🫤

Anybody else check in on your pets via video while you’re away?

We leave our 2 labs at a kennels nearby where the dogs know the owners and vice versa. Apparently the dogs behave really well, sleep together in an outsize dog bed and get 2 x half hour runs in the field each day. We hate leaving them but feel confident they are well looked after.

When we go out for a few hours and leave the dogs in the house we have Ring cameras that we can watch them with. The older dog goes straight to his bed and sleeps, the younger one keeps watch out of the window every few minutes otherwise she sleeps too.

In fact, we rarely look now because they seem quite content.

We have a live-in kitty sitter, who sends us updates and photos almost every day. Of course we still miss our little girls like crazy.

Alas, Marino hides when people come over. Instead of a live-in sitter, his “butler” stops in twice a day to provide food, treats and tidy up. 😂
