Ship’s arrival time 2:00pm.  We are in much calmer seas now.  We can

check out the ship some more.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Forecast for today is cloudy with chance of rain.

 

We took the Express shuttle to Mendenhall Glacier and hiked the Nugget Falls Trail which is 2 miles round trip.  There you will see the waterfall and as close as you can to the glacier.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tonight’s entertainment will be a Virtual Symphony featuring The American Philharmonic and a Virtual Concert with Santa Fe and The Fat City Horns in the Two270.

 

 

 

Then it’s back to Music Hall to listen to the band the Royal Swedes.  Tomorrow we reach Skagway.

About 2400 guests this week. Small crowds are great but I’m a little worried that there will be no energy this week.  As of 4:00 still 650+ that had not completed muster. Internet coming to a crawl. We’ve already met a few nice Pins in the SL, so rumors that Pins are nasty and only stay in inside cabins are false. 🤣

I normally enjoy talking to pins , did they show any football games like normal on today’s tv , Bills looked great.

We took the ship’s shore excursion of White Pass Railway that goes up to the summit and hear stories of the Klondike Gold Rush over 100 years ago.

Fridge/freezer packed to the gills, clothes refreshed, dry goods in, Meds packed, Plenty of wine!...kayaks loaded on the Jeep, hooked up, fueled up...and hit the road yesterday at noon.  Heading out to our first state park for the six week tour of the Florida Panhandle.  Got up on the highway...and bus started to sputter.  She refused to go anything over 45 MPH.  Great...just great.  And we had it serviced before we left for Maine.  Worked fine at low speed...but no high speed...and even started losing it at lesser speeds.

 

Made it to the next exit, circled around on the side streets, limped back home.  Our excellent RV service located inside our community is closed on the weekends.  Can't even make an appointment until tomorrow.  Then...no idea how long until we can get it in...or how long the repairs.  

 

Depressing to then unload everything back out this morning.  Have cancelled the first two weeks of our six week tour...hoping we may salvage at least a couple of reservations we have for later.  Not sure...but important thing...made it home, and not sitting on the side of the highway.  

 

This had pretty much nailed our decision to sell the land yacht this winter.  Managed to go drown our sorrows at favorite local sushi restaurant today for lunch.  Sigh....Was good sushi though!  

 

 

Ahh geez so sorry to hear that but like you said good thing you made it home and not stuck somewhere.  

Hopefully will be an easy fix😥

Great photos of land, sea and food. I’ve been 3 times and look forward to returning again one day. The new paint scheme on the White Pass Railroad looks different after decades of the yellow and green. A nice change.

Did you attempt a royal up ? I currently have a grand suite which we really always enjoy, not interested in a loft because of my knees . Might be interested in a higher suite , loved the two bathrooms we had on our recent celebrity suite.

I am enjoying your pictures.  Interesting to see this set on Ovation.  That is the exact same set that is on Anthem for the show called The Gift that gets really bad reviews.  The cruise line actually reworked the show and the last time we saw it, it was much improved.  I wonder if it is actually the same show under a different name.

Enjoyed dinner out at The Big Orange in Little Rock.  After seeing all cruise food posts I am going to try to eat healthy the next two weeks. So tonight I am having a Chocolate milk shake and Truffle-Garlic-Herb Fries!
