We had visitors yesterday.  They stayed around most of the day eating bugs and even getting a mole.   We get cattle egrets often but this is a first time for these big birds.

Love the Sandhill Cranes!  We have a lot of them back home in Florida. They walk all over our community like they own it (and a lot of time down the middle of the street!).   Very distinctive voice as well.  🙂

Good choice!  🙂

My sister is doctor, specialist of infectious diseases (and back to working 14 hour days again 😞 ).

We asked her about the booster shot and she was all for it.  Both Bucky and I will be getting one when we return to Florida.

Is it that just anyone can go to a CVS and ask for the booster? Are there any priority catgories or wait times from the second shot?

Also have to get the flu shot.

Congrats on your new set of wheels.

In a pickup truck I would have to sit on a tower of cushions to be able to see beyond the wheel......but then my legs would not reach the breaks or the pedal. Moving the seat forward, the wheel would be stuck to my chest! LOL. I am 5 ft-2in /3in and these are my first world problems.🙄😁

Ditto...5' 3" here as well.  My little Ford Escape works really well for me with my "height challenged" body.  😉  Seat adjusts perfect for me, and short hood is easy to look over when parking.  Has a turbo in it....which makes the little thing get up and snort for such a small SUV.

Count me in as one that is happy I bought it new 3 years ago.  Happy to not be in the car buying market for awhile now.  (plus it sits stored in the garage most of it's life while we are traveling anyway).

Don't know.  Still here in Maine for another week.

Will check into it upon return.  If my sister recommends Bucky and I get one...I will comply.  😉

We will also be ready for our annual flu shot.  Will ask her if we need to space those out, which I assume we will have to perhaps.

It wouldn't have been my first choice but with more than $5k of repairs needed on his SUV, it wasn't worth putting that much money into it.  I am 5'4" in thick socks, so I understand your issues.😁  I haven't tried to drive it yet, thankfully, it has a power seat that I will be able to move all the way forward and all the way up.  It does have running boards, so that is helping me get in to the passenger side.  It is Ford's smallest truck but it is still tall.  He really wanted a truck again, so is kind of his midlife crisis vehicle. 🙂

We had a great weekend visiting family in Denver, meeting my Mom and sister and going to New York Deli News , great Jewish deli in Denver for some pastrami before heading to airport to return to Dallas, much cooler weather here was freezing last night at a outdoor restaurant.

When Micheline was in the market for a new car 2 years ago, she wanted to get a Jeep Wrangler.  She thought it would be a perfect second car living near the beach.  You could remove the doors/top, take it on the beach and then hose it down, etc.  We'd have my car for long trips or normal driving needs.  She is also height challenged (5' 2 3/4", as she likes to say) and needed to move the driver's seat all the way forward to reach the pedals.  It's an all manual vehicle and the handle to move the seat is in the middle bottom of the seat.

When she got done with the test drive, she literally could not get out without moving the seat back, and could not reach the handle because she was so close to the steering wheel and dash.  I had to grab the handle from outside the car to move the seat back so that she could get out.  Unfortunately, the Wrangler just wouldn't work for someone of her diminutive height.

I really should be asleep but since @lionessasked.  Here is a Huntsman.  Having one in your house isn’t so bad.  It’s when you are driving down the freeway and one of these appears at the edge of your windscreen on the inside of the car that life becomes stressful….(not my photo not my house but photo taken here in Sydney)

I lived in Australia for a year and would have died at the sight of this!

Good thing your Sister was able to get some time away with you and Bucky earlier this summer.    Hopefully this all calms down before we head into the winter months where people are indoors most of the time (for most states).

Eric is going for his booster shot this week.    I checked with our local walgreens when I picked up his prescription refills the other day and they only had moderna so I call local rite-aid and they have pfizer that he needs.

They said they are giving to people that are immuno-compromised only and they cannot give me a booster.    His transplant doctor emailed him a general letter for all her transplant people to take to pharmacy as proof just incase.    Doubt we will need it, but good to have just incase.

Bucky has a beloved Jeep Wrangler rag top we bought new in 2004.  It is our "toad"...(AKA towed vehicle behind the motor home).  Also a stick shift, which makes it a very popular tow behind with easy hookup to back of the RV.   Has the half windows, which are easy to pop out in nice weather.

I am 5' 3"...and have no problem driving it.  What I do is move the seat almost all the way forward, and then adjust the back of the seat to recline a bit so I am not eating the steering wheel.  😉Though I don't drive it much at all, except to drive to campsite or home when after we disconnect and he drives the motor home in.

It is also great for our kayaks, which ride on top on the racks we installed.

Not a comfortable "road trip" vehicle to drive...noisy and uncomfortable for longer trips.  We use my SUV for that.

Yeah, when my sister came up to visit for a week, it was indeed a much needed break.  It was hard for her to relax, taking a few days to get used to it.  Though she was on her cell phone a lot, and her computer even more.  Still working on vacation.

That was late May/early June...before the Covid numbers spiked way back up again.  She (and we) live in Florida...where the state is a hot spot for Covid...now...again.  😣

About an half hour after I said cloudy but no rain here, it poured here.     Lesson learned not to type that!

Eric's cousin is on his way here for a visit today.   He's had a lot of issues with his back due to a work injury and he hasn't been able to drive or sit in a car for extended periods of time.  He called out of the blue yesterday and said he is going to be in the area and wants to stop by.   Will be nice to see him.

I think you will happy that you did. Interesting when I first got the Pfizer my arm is real sore and I felt kinda blah. After getting mine yesterday I feel good today and my arm is not sore.

Excellent to hear that.   I didn't want to pry and ask but was curious since Eric will get his booster this week.

Did you watch last weeks Below Deck Med - rather boring episode but will be interesting to see what the outcome will be with the new girl.    She's seems willing to help with anything and everything.     I was afraid Lexi was going to set up her to fail.

I think it will give Eric some peace of mind. I still will wear masks and social distance  leading up to our cruise. I don't want to take any chances.

Watched Below Deck Friday. I agree it was kinda boring. I don't know why Katie is so worried about Delaney. She may be green but she doesn't seem to mind doing laundry. Seems like she has a positive attitude about it but then again it helps to know that you will getting tips. Still not sure how Matt had that kitchen fire. It looked like a tray with food on it. I assume some sort of grease fire but you never saw where the tray came from.

Your body must be set up already to welcome the shot as a friend.  😉

I was also wondering how the fire started.  Let's see if Capt Sandy pops his huge blister (painful and gross!).    Hopefully this weeks episode will be more lively with some drama.

No drama queens here either. Everything is good with HH. 🍷

Healthy, yes. Baby 😂. The song "Hey Baby, they're playing our song", by the Buckingham's just entered my pea brain.
