You know it's illegal to pick it up and take it home right?

This applies only to nature reserves and zoned parks.

Good morning.

It is sunny and 48°F here in North East England.

This morning I saw the muscular skeletal physio who confirmed I need hip replacements but I asked for an exercise program to delay the operation's although there is up to a 1 year waiting list.

I hope everyone is well.

Wow, that’s a long time. I would get put on the list asap. Why so long? If someone is in massive pain will they put them in sooner?

I would be over the moon to have a grandbaby but for now I'll be happy if they have adult size Magic sleepers.😁

Wouldn't that be nice.  For now I guess I will just need to rely on that electronic blanket.   I don't think I could sleep in the Snuggie that my DD got me.

Renee, so sorry to read about the flooding and how it impacted you personally.  Hope things are cleaned up by now and I totally agree with your comments to @Ozark_Kid, John.

I hope your cleanup is done or nearly done. It must’ve been even more difficult with Mike being away often.

Luckily he got back 2 days after the flood.

@ReneeFLL  Hope your clean up is complete and you are back to normal.

Thanks, for the most part we are. There are some large boxes we need to replace that held outdoor holiday decorations. The biggest one was for an 8’ Santa. It breaks down, but it is still a very large box. Luckily the box from the new frig works great after we cut it down some.

We were very lucky compared to others. There are some houses on our street where they have a ton of drywall, furniture, etc out on the curb for pickup. We didn’t have such problems. Our frig did die a couple days later, but we had been thinking of getting a new one anyway. I had been wanting one with 2 ice makers so now I have it. One in the door and one in the bottom freezer. 🙂 🍹

…I bet it's been challenging with the flood water y'all have been dealing with.

Thanks again!  And I will never give up.

Y’all is plural. Short for you all, which is plural and a shorter way to say all of you,

You is what we say to one person.
Y’all is what we say to more than one.
That’s how we tell Southerners from pseudoSoutherners!

That’s how I say it also. I don’t understand why people say y’all when talking to one person. Y’all is plural so it shouldn’t apply when talking to a single person. At least that’s how I see it.

I'll have 5 to give away as well.  My liver will kill me but I will end up buying the drink package...at least that's the plan.  Might need for some of the lucky ones on the sailing before us to purchase a few bottles the last night of week 1 so we can do a few private parties.

We received an email not too long ago saying if you bought booze on your first cruise they won’t deliver it until your last cruise.

Reverse. Reverse. I’m a little behind so let’s go back a few days to last Friday night.  Every Friday night the Hilton Hawaiian Village would put on a firework display right on the beach.  But these fireworks had stopped for 2 years during Covid and they just started back up last year in June 2022.  So, me, who love fireworks along with what seemed like a million other people who also love fireworks sat out on the beach and waited for it to start.

Our view while we waited.

The whole 3 minutes of it was spectacular.  I’m still learning how to take good fireworks photos with my phone.

Saturday morning, we went to the KCC Farmers Market right across from the Diamond Head.  Found these orchards for @ReneeFLL Renee.

We tried this tropical treat- Ginger Colada.  Ingredients were Hawaiian ginger syrup, 100% pineapple juice and premium coconut milk and water.  To me, I think there was too much ice.

And also time for the cherry blossoms on the quad at the most beautiful campus in the world (yeah, I’m biased).

Absolutely beautiful

A friend is currently in Amsterdam and sent photos of the tulips fields there

Really upset this morning.

Checked the baby Robins first thing on the cam as normal, to find that at 3.30 this morning a cat (not ours) got into the greenhouse and the nest is now on the floor empty. 😔

Another pic from the camera shows mummy robin sadly looking at her empty nest.

Devastated....they were only a few days from fledging

Mother Nature can be cruel sometimes....

The severe arthritis is painful when I stand up or move with limited mobility and why I have been offered a replacement but I am putting off as long as I can having 5 cruises booked that I want to go on.

Sorry, but it isn't Mother Nature that lets her cats roam free. I'm also sorry, sort of, if my comment offends anyone.

@sgmn  I’m not going to “like” this post for obvious reasons.  I am so sorry, but as you said…Mother Nature can be cruel at times.😢😥

Same here! So I will like your post because that was just what I wanted to say too.

Hugs for Sue.

Love bluebonnets. Bluebell used to be my favorite ice cream. Grew up on it. Quit eating it when they had issues and shut down the plant for awhile. Replacement was Publix ice cream and it tastes just as good if not better and it’s cheaper too.

Growing up there were fields everywhere you turned. It was so beautiful.

Right now Blue bell has an Oatmeal Cream Pie flavor.  My new favorite!  I do miss the bluebonnets.
