How about Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady who hasn't had one single cruise since launching in April. Poor ship didn't have a standing chance to debut.

She's expected to arrive at Port Canaveral on the 6th of February.

We are scheduled for the 2nd cruise on Mardi Gras.  Hopefully it goes.  We have an extended balcony on the mid-hump.  I will be camera crazy because interior /exterior photos are very limited.

We booked the Mardi Gras a year and a half ago for May 2021! We didn’t think we would be one of the first sailings on her (if we sail). We are excited to see the new ship!

At the moment Carnival is simply not making money, but they do have money!

 

Having worked on an office where large purchases are made, they do not write checks. Up to $100 million a wire transfer will do. Money moves at the speed of light.
