Mardi Gras July 2021 Sailings Gone from Website

Anyone else notice that there's nothing showing for July for Mardi Gras?   We are scheduled for July 24, and through my Cruise Manager it is still there, and the Cancellation Search Page says it isn't cancelled -- but if you go to the Plan A Cruise page, and search for Mardi Gras, July is greyed out.   No Mardi Gras listings for July at all.   They begin in August.    Do you think this is a glitch in the system, or a sign that they are going to delay MG again, or a sign that MG has reached booking capacity for July?    I know, I know, it's all speculation --- just wondering if this is only impacting MG or if anyone has seen this happen with other ships yet for July dates.

They were gone for a short period from July when the June cruises (all of them) were greyed out, but Mardi Gras July cruises were restored before Carnival made the official announcement about June.

So maybe MG in July is something they were still debating, but have now decided upon?

Maybe they're planning a launch in Europe considering there are 11 cruise companies doing cruises around the Uk this summer specifically for UK passengers? It's certainly been on my mind they'd do this with Mardi Gras.

I called and waited on hold -- curiosity and all.    The rep said that the MG sailings for July were all at capacity.   No cabins left on his screen for any of the July sailings.   I asked if those were at reduced numbers, and he said yes, but he didn't know what the percentage was.   So -- that's the word according to one of the phone reps.   We'll see.

if it sails in August, I am paying off my winter break cruise.  I think she will sail. I think CCL  will need to require vaccines (please don't yell at me please....).  I think carnival will need to play nice in the sand box and follow NCL and get the ships moving.

I just wish if they were canceling July, to do it. This cruise is blocking to other obligations that we have to wait for it to be canceled. Yes, I know I can cancel and won't if it sails.

Seems about right, MG will take a little longer to get online due to training. I was watching the Ada Nova special on Youtube and seemed to be a whole new learning curve for the captain and due to Spains guidelines lines they can’t get anyone on the MG till it leaves that area.

John Heald also said on this mornings call that they were at capacity for July and that is why we aren't seeing them.  We are supposed to be on the July 10th cruise but anticipating cancellation.

My June 5 Mardi Gras just cancelled.  My next Mardi Gras is July 17,  Still hoping for that one.  If not my next Mardi Gras sailing is August 28 and then September 18.  Sooner or later I will be on he Mardi Gras, hopefully sooner.

I hope not.  Have a B2B scheduled for 8/7 and 8/14 hoping to earn 1200 in OBC to use for Cheers when I reschedule them for September of 2022.  Carnival would not offer me the RU 1-2-3 codes for Cheers, so this is my way of hopefully getting even.

We missed a brand new ship by 1 sailing - perhaps it was the Glory? We were originally booked on the inaugural sailing, but it was finished up early and they slipped in a 5 nighter (as I recall) before ours. Still, it had plenty of "new ship smell".

I wonder, after all this time, just how much "new ship smell" the Mardi Gras will have? At least there won't be cigarette smells embedded around the casino yet!

My vote is for 8/7 - just switched from a forward excel corner suite to an aft corner a couple of weeks ago (someone else must have thrown in the towel).

This confirms the current June cancellations, not a new delay.

Let's see if that sticks.

I think this is just Carnival's MO which I understand really. Cancel out only as far as you have to and hope to regain a better timeline.

Hola, my friends !!

You've probably already seen earlier today that one news source is also quoting 8/7 as first possible "first voyage".  I hope this holds up, and you get to do what you missed last time. 😊😊

Just checked Carnival's site. The July cruises are no longer there. Many of CCL's July cruises are not longer there either. They either have given up on July or have capacity issues if the CSO injunction goes through.

That is not true. Many ships and dates are still available. Mardi Gras is no longer available for new bookings in July.
