Oasis of the Seas Live - We’ve been Saved by the Bell 🐾🐾 March 12-19, 2023.

Recommended Posts

Just wrapping up the night after saying goodbye to the gang at the Schooner Bar. Bags are in the hall and just waiting for Owen to return from his night out. I will do a bit of posting tomorrow on the trip home.

Lisa, Owen and I would like to take a quick moment to say safe travels to everyone along their way home the next few days  Final cruise thoughts will be posted hopefully no later than Monday.

I think tonight will be the most sleep on the cruise for all of us in our cabin, well except for Owen. 😃

I met great people, had a few drinks, ate some good food, got some meds, enjoyed Bon Jovi songs, shared Limoncello, entertained you all at home, got a massage, and saw CATS. 😇

It was a good week😁

That it was.

I have to apologize to everyone tonight. We are finishing dinner at Chops but will not be able to make it to Schooner to say goodbye. My knee is killing me and my cankles are so swollen I have a hard time walking. Needless to say getting old is a pain in the you know what.

I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed this week. It’s been life changing for me. I now have life long friendships that I will cherish forever.

This cruise has renewed my faith in humanity in that you can take a variety of people who don’t know each other very well and have never met and becomes close friends over our bonds of cruising and posting on cruise critic.

I look forward to staying in touch with many of you and also cruising together in the future. We are family now bonded over the love of a little dog that has captured our hearts.

Safe travels until we meet again.

Cheers,

Sea Dog

No apologies needed Greg; life happens. It was such a pleasure to meet you and Linda. Thank you so much for all of the photos and videos you have created for us.  I hope to see you both on a future cruise….sooner than Bella #2.

Safe travels home.

Pat

Trying to get this to 100 pages before midnight.

I guess I won't know if we get there until tomorrow morning.

Oooops, I didn’t notice your post was the last one on 99! 😆

It was semi-epic because you and Laura were missing.
At my count, there were 21 of us there.  You should be very proud of yourself for this group YOU have created.  We were all here because of you (and Bella).  What a fantastic group of ‘strangers’, that are now friends.

I look forward to cruising with all of you again.  Safe travels home tomorrow.

Pat

Guess who's Passenger Zero tomorrow 🤪

Yep, last off. Escorted by my new friend Valesi.

He might be Head Purser

Do they normally do this for other issues? I thought it was just for covid.

@John&LaLa John, I hope you feel better very soon. Feeling ill is miserable at the best of times but especially when you're away from home

@Sea Dog Greg, sorry to hear your knee is bad. Hope you can get help getting off the ship and at the airport and it heals quickly with rest

@derorimhope your knee is better and you were able to enjoy the rest of your cruise. Safe travels home

Interestingly enough, wr are right at 10% of the total posts in the Bella thread, but about 20% of the views.

Lots more traffic on main page than Floataway Lounge

I'm guilty of not posting. I like a lot of posts on both. I put it down to the 5 hour time difference. By the time I read it in the morning, the conversation has moved on. I will try harder to post.

I find Fb easier to check during the day. It's been a great read though. Explorer Ta up next for me. Also on Serenade Pan Can before the WC.

I wanted to add my thanks for taking us on a fabulous getaway (virtually). I'm so sorry that it didn't end well for you @John&LaLa, seems rather unfair after all the work you put in to make the cruise so good for everyone that attended.

I'm not sure that it is sane to seriously consider flying to the other side of the world to meet a group of strangers for a 7 night cruise, especially if I have to do it solo, but I have nearly 2 years to try to make it happen - I'll be in touch soon to get more details!

Getting ready to head out to the airport. You must be flying private or first class. I have to sit with my legs on both sides of the chair in front to slouch in my plane seat. I am long legged but surely lots of men are longer legs than me.

I wanted to rest my hand on the tray table coming in but we had too much turbulence between dfw and miami. I think they took so long in that line up of planes they had to hot foot it into miami. Took 45 minutes to take off getting here.

I might post before take off, but certainly not on the plane. Next time I'm asking for aisle not window where I cant get up and stretch my legs. I've gotten old.

Thanks again to John for making this happen and all your work. I cant believe they isolated you. I've been sicker the last two cruises and they just sold me medicine. Maybe feedback changed things. Bye for now. See everyone bella2.
