Thank you for today's daily reports Rich.

Nice church service today.

Father Davids sermon is on my previous post.

3 important days today.

We have been to Malta several times but not to Gozo island.

I hope everyone is safe and well.

Good Morning, thanks for today’s daily fleet report.  It’s a beautiful morning here in New England.  In a bit I’ll go outside and continue cleaning up the back yard.  Weeds are a never ending battle.  I’ll pass on today’s meal suggestion and will roast a chicken that I got on sale.  I hope everyone has a good day today.

Good morning friends!  We are immersed in the fog here in Prince Christian Sound.  The sun is bright though so perhaps it will burn off before the Captain decides we have to move on towards Iceland.  I have nice photos taken the last time I was here but that doesn't make me feel any better about it.  Fingers crossed the fog lifts very soon!

We had an enjoyable dinner in Pinnacle Grill with Debbie and Sue last night.  I have a photo on my phone and will try to post it as soon as I can from there.  Our time at dinner flew by with lots of good discussion.

DH made an appointment to see the Future Cruise Consultant first thing this morning so I don't have time to tarry. I was able to get the links to Mgarr, Malta listings in the past so here they are.  Unfortunately there are too many people on the internet this morning and on both dates my photos are not showing up on my screen.  So Lenda @Quartzsite Cruiser if you could, would you copy and paste my Mgarr commentary and pictures for me?  That is, if they show up for you. Thank you!  Mgarr, Gozo Island, Malta was our port on July 2, 2021 and Jan. 30, 2022.

Thanks to all for posting here, to Rich @richwmn for starting us out, to Tina @0106 for the food report, to Dixie @summer slope for our cocktails, to Ann @cat shepard for the wine report, and to Vanessa @JazzyV for keeping up the lists each day.  Prayers for all in need (so many), and congrats to those celebrating.  Have a great day!

Thank you for today’s R & D, Rich! A lovely morning after a wild afternoon of T-storms, wind & rain. My friends and I did not get any pool time yesterday. But we had a great night of conversation, food & wine!

Vanessa, thank you for all you do to keep up with our lives. Tina & Dixie, I love being in the F & B department with you both! Gym, Aldi, Bindi walks, more insurance research and, if lucky, pool time - should keep me busy.

Prayers for all who need our support. Cheers to all who are celebrating! Get well & stay well everyone!

Biutiful - Cava Brut 0

This sparkling Catalonian Cava sounds lovely & refreshing! And the price is so reasonable it would be a great foundation for a mimosa-like drink with orange or cranberry juice, if you don’t like how it tastes by itself. Widely available with online prices starting at $12.99

Wine Enthusiast - 86

For Brut Nature, this has body and weight to it. The nose delivers dry apple and pear aromas, while the palate is fairly full and round for the style, with apple and lime flavors. A finish with roundness and density confirms this Cava's good quality.

Good morning.  Thanks for the Report.

A cool, clear morning here.

An important day in history as we remember Hiroshima.

I like the quote.

Looking forward to seeing recipes for today's meal.  I'm sure I'll like the drink and the wine.

We haven't been to Malta, but someday I'd like to go.

Prayers for everyone.  I hope there are lots of celebrations.

Have a wonderful day.

Happy Sunday.  Thank you Rich, Vanessa, Tina, Ann, Dixie, and Graham.  I especially appreciate Farm Workers, like Blues music, and know Hiroshima had a lot of benefits but was still a tragedy.  I have not been to Hiroshima but got to Nagasaki in 2004.  This date 1765 years ago was a very sad day.  I like the quote but have been to Malta only once, Valetta in 2010.

The meal sounds nice.  My alternative is Classic Caesar Salad, Chilled Carrot and Orange Soup with Cumin, and Braised Lamb Shank. as served on MS Prinsendam August 6, 2011.

But for my January medical issues this morning I would be disembarking Nieuw Amsterdam and heading towards Denali.  Instead, I am on AV duty at church.  It will be interesting as we have a guest preacher today so we will see how it works.  May not get in much of a walk today as I will not leave the house for walking and church until the dryer stops working.

Vegan Lasagna, really?  How many of you are actually going to skip the cheese in lasagna?  Certainly not me.  I quickly searched for today’s recipes.

Best Vegan Lasagna uses a healthy red lentil marinara sauce to sub for meat, makes the ricotta out of cashews and tofu and mozzarella out of cashews and tapioca starch.  I like it because it doesn’t use processed foods.  I’d eat it if someone made it for me.  It looks good.

4KYc1g8rle9ZdVlhMn8C0MdA8bXRG_J1j1ZL4bLl

Lasagna made with Store Bought Vegan Ingredients would be easier to make but contains highly processed vegan ingredients for the “meat” and “cheese”.

Thanks for our Sunday Daily, Rich and thanks to our F & D department.

Looks like I will be trying to follow the advice in today’s quote.  I don’t know if I will succeed or not.  At least Ivan is good.

Good morning to everyone.  Prayers for all in need.  Praying that the needs list will decrease and for positive news about baby Murphy.

Weather continues to be somewhat moderate here in PA and I can get more walking in.  There was a few weeks there that little walking was done by me — I am not a hot weather person!

DH continues with his therapy with mixed  results.  But he keeps chugging along.  We would like to see him a bit more mobile for our next two cruises coming up - 8/17 to Bermuda and Bahamas and 9/14 to Canada and Greenland.  Fingers crossed.

Off to church and then home to watch baseball (Roy — Baltimore’s Orioles are killing us!). DS making marinated pork chops and stuffing for dinner.  I’ve probably mentioned that DS (twin) lives across the street (30 second or less walk).  She (Karen) likes cooking a lot more than I do and sometimes I feel like I  have a personal chef!

Have a great day and stay safe.  Katherine

An early good morning from central Texas where it will be hot again today.  It is currently 82F and feels like 85F with a 7 mph wind.  The wind will help when I take my walk after I finish here.  The humidity is 61% with a dew point of 67F, and that should make it more comfortable outside.  Our high is predicted to be106F and I don't even want to think what the heat index will be.  At least, we'll be comfortable inside.  I would not mind having some of the rain that Florida is getting.  It is extremely dry in Texas.

Hiroshima Day is a good day to remember the horrors of war and how WWII ended.  Blues music is another type of music I enjoy in small doses.  I appreciate all that farmworkers do for us.

The Horace quote is good and one I'll try to remember.

No thanks to vegan lasagna.  Vegetarian lasagna is okay, but adding meat is good too.  We'll skip the drink and the wine.

We have been to Gozo twice in 2017 by ferry from Malta, and 2019 when we were able to tender.  I'll look for my pictures and Sandi's @StLouisCruisers in a few minutes.

The day in history is a sad one of religious intolerance which continues to this day.

In 2017 we overnighted in Valletta, Malta on Prinsendam, because Captain DD learned it would be too rough to tender in Gozo the next day.  In 2019 on Veendam, we were able to tender in Gozo.

These first ones are from our visit in 2017.  Since we were going to be there overnight, we rented a car and took the ferry to Gozo the first day.  The ferry from Malta.

We stopped at the Gran Castello, and spent some time wandering through it.

In 2019, the Veendam was able to anchor.  That day, we took the Ho-Ho, and saw some different parts ot the island.

@StLouisCruisers  Sandi, I checked both links to the pictures and your pictures did not load on my computer.  I clicked on the enhance link on your post, and I got the message the Shutterfly page was not accessible.

Also very nice photo. PG looks very elegant. Forgot that I believe there are no windows in the PG on this ship. Was it originally the Italian restaurant, the Marco Polo, and no charge!

Good sunny morning. It’s currently 76 and humid, going up to 87 with strong storms this evening and tomorrow.
I have not heard anything further on Barb , so I guess no news is good news 🤞🙏

I was a bad pet parent last night, Tux accidentally spent the night locked in the vestibule. Brother heard him crying this morning and opened the door and he ran out.
Blessings and prayers to all on our lists.
