Owen’s team won both their ball games today. Knocked out the second place team in their regular season division. They play tomorrow at 12 for first or second overall. the first place team has a game tomorrow morning at 9am against the last place team.

It has been a long dusty day today.

Congratulations to Owen and his team!     and Good Luck today

He says thanks. The team we are playing is the league leader and his team is not. He is aware of how hard it will be, but he is ready to bring his best.

Let’s hope the rest of the team is too. 🤞

Welcome, aussielozzie18.  Beautiful pictures!  That is one huge spider!

@dani, Bonnie & Lenny, thank you all for explaining the different Sephardi and Ashkenazi Jewish Sects and cultures.  Very interesting.  That's what I love about this thread.  We are always learning something new!

Marietta, Wishing your granddaughter a Happy 7th Birthday!  Two of my grandchildren are celebrating their birthdays today;  my granddaughter's Sweet 16, and my grandson's 18th.  They are brother and sister.

@SeaDog..Greg, so glad you've been able to get your booster before you cruise.

@Ozark kid...what a beautiful family you have!!

@DaniDanielle I hope everyone's grandchildren are having wonderful birthday weekend celebrations!

I recently heard that school doesn't start in NYC till 9.13 - I never knew they started that much later than us in PA.    We used to start the day after Labor Day but this year they started last Monday and then ended up having off Thursday and Friday because of all the flooding.

We had beautiful weather the last couple of days, today is mostly cloudy but thank god the humidity is gone.    People drying out definitely need this dry weather.

We are on the road headed home.  Before we left Caden said he was trying to decide what he liked more, Disney or Lakeside.  Then he said without family both would be less fun.

who’s not driving today?  Me and …..

Do his best and have fun too!   Hopefully you are having the nice sunny/cooler weather that we have had the last couple of days here in PA.    Perfect weather for ballgames.

Ahh, how sweet is that to hear from your Grandson Caden.      So happy you had a wonderful week with your beautiful family.

No, you cannot drive with your foot in your mouth!

I think she loves the camera, she is one happy baby girl - always smiling🥰

Best of luck.  Hit the ball hard and GO DEFENSE, on the baseball field that is.

Be safe.

Yesterday it was dry and very warm. The wind was blowing from the outfield in and everyone, players and people watching, we’re covered in a red powder dust. The shower never felt so good. We had a slight rain last night and hopefully it took the dust down a level. Hopefully any wind today is blowing to the outfield.

Other than the dust it is perfect weather for ball.

We are seeing the same here.  We were just commenting today about how the local Honda dealer only had about 20 vehicles on the lot.  It wasn’t that long ago that all the dealers were using an abandoned mall to store excess inventory.

My husband is SO glad he bought his new SUV right at the beginning of the shortage up here last October.  He ordered it in early August, they said they would get it in early Sept, and he got it in October.  His old Jeep needed new tires, so he was glad to get something new before snow started falling…

No infield errors is the key for today. We also have to fire up the bats. We are the away team so there is no home field advantage.

I am used to seeing the dealer lots overflowing with new models and sales on prev yr models but most of the dealer lots near me are slim pickings.

On the way up to the Lake we saw many almost empty car lots but one.. There was a Jaguar dealership with several cars.  Maybe it’s time to change brands.  😂

Your pictures are gorgeous, and, see, in no time at all, you got the hang of it 😁

If I may, and if you're posting from a computer, and if you have some spare moments to maximize the picture's effect, mainly the above, which blended together,

1) post your pictures.

2) then go to the right top corner and hit the 3 dots...

3) choose "edit"

4) highlight the 1st pic and hit Ctrl + X (cut)

5) hit "return"

6) hit Ctrl + V (paste)

7) repeat with each pic.

That way you create a space between the pictures, and they don't blend into one another.

Thanks !!

I am lazy and let them stack...but it also takes up less room on the page.  Too many spaces make scanning through the posts that much longer.  😉

I really should be asleep but since @lionessasked.  Here is a Huntsman.  Having one in your house isn’t so bad.  It’s when you are driving down the freeway and one of these appears at the edge of your windscreen on the inside of the car that life becomes stressful….(not my photo not my house but photo taken here in Sydney)

Well in anticipation of my upcoming cruise in November, I found out I that I could go ahead and get a booster shot of the Pfizer vaccine. Made appointment at local CVS. In and out in less than 5 minutes. Feels good to have a third dose for added measure.

Good choice!  🙂

My sister is doctor, specialist of infectious diseases (and back to working 14 hour days again 😞 ).

We asked her about the booster shot and she was all for it.  Both Bucky and I will be getting one when we return to Florida.

This is a really bad time to buy a car. I bought 2 years ago and I'm really glad I did as I will be out of the car buying market for a few years.

Also a really bad time to buy a house!  Our search for a second home up here in Maine has come up with way overpriced crappy homes so far.  We have given up for this year.

Try again next year, when hopefully the feeding frenzy of the sellers market starts to wane.  😮

Huntsman spiders...good thing I didn't see one while I was in Australia. I would not have needed a seat on an airplane.

I hate spiders.

You and me both.  😮   I never liked spiders and detest them with a passion even more now.  At rental home number three, one (have no idea what kind) bit me in the middle of the night.  There were quite a few spiders in that brand new house that had just been built (guess they took their territory back over).  House is in the woods on the seashore with lots of trees.

Huge black and blue mark across my whole forearm.  Which was awful looking and took 3 weeks to disappear, but did not hurt if pressed on the coloration.  What did hurt was the raised welt in the middle...where the bite was...which took 8 weeks to go away. I think the coloration was blood poisoning.  Awful.

Now all spiders get smushed upon meeting them.  I am quite deadly with a flip flop in hand.  😉

We were waiting to buy a new car until things improved but my DH car went in for an oil change on Wednesday and we found out he had a rotted out hole in his frame large enough to put your hand through.  😱  So, we ended up in the showroom of the dealership, looking at what they had and lucked out on a Ranger Pickup truck that had been brought in for someone who backed out on it because it wasn't black.  Red works for us.  We picked it up on Thursday.  We were replacing a crossover SUV but hated the new design, too tiny.  No midsize SUVs on the lot, with none expected in the near future.  I would have preferred another SUV but at least this has a supercab.  He is very happy to have a truck again.  Crazy that there were only a total of 19 new cars on the lot at the biggest dealership in the area.  Used cars were priced crazy!

Congrats on your new set of wheels.

In a pickup truck I would have to sit on a tower of cushions to be able to see beyond the wheel......but then my legs would not reach the breaks or the pedal. Moving the seat forward, the wheel would be stuck to my chest! LOL. I am 5 ft-2in /3in and these are my first world problems.🙄😁
