I dress them up or down. I do wear sundresses sometimes but I don't think you will look good in a sundress and may end up on facebook! LOL😉😁. Sharon on the other hand will carry that out well. No formal nights, they call it Chic night, and you can dress to kill or you can be casual. No compulsions on tie and jacket. 😂 Me wearing a sundress would be awkward. On the other hand you say you wear jeans with a top most nights. Your not saying there are jeans only nights are you? 🤔 😆. The more casual dress code sounds more appealing. Now I need to review the ships. I never understand buying torn up jeans. I like new jeans. Actual worn out jeans can look nice, but torn up jeans from the factory are no way appealing to me. Your room rate is charged by your rank which sucks for us, but it's still cheaper than the surrounding hotels. We will be there again next October. They book up very quickly so we have to make reservations as soon as they open for the time we want Beautiful hotel! I'll have to ask my daughter and son-in-law if they are aware of this hotel? We've stayed at the Shades of Green hotel in Orlando with them several years ago. Tom just retired as a Lieutenant in the Coast Guard. 1 hour ago, OnTheJourney said: Wow! There are times and areas that you can hunt wild turkeys, but not in my area as we are really suburban. 🙂 1

Also looking at the Edge and Apex sailings. We liked pour Odyssey sailing to A and C, and they have one in March also. Odyssey is so expensive then, that the Silhouette was ending up less on a per day basis, plus we would get 3 extra days. Cartagena can be brutally hot then. Although we were there in April one year, I remember the “feels like” temperature was 120°. You are right about that! I was in Cartagena Jan 2020 and did the mistake of closing the casino the night before (or morning of) and had to get up 3 hours later for our excursion/tour of the Old Walled City. I believe we were still drunk when we woke up. We definitely sweat out alcohol that day. Very hot and very Humid and they sure do bug you buy their souvenirs as you walk around town.
Rare ReneeFLL Posted November 11, 2021 #37262 Share Posted November 11, 2021 For the casino players I have a question. We were talking to someone last night and I thought I heard him say in order to get a free cruise you need 800 points. For every dollar you spend you get 5 points. This doesn't sound right to me because that would only be $160.00. Maybe I misunderstood him. It was noisy last night.

He was a very young man Yep...lots of them were, for sure. My Dad was only 22. Always believed that he'd come home from the war, and he did. Probably a mixed blessing that he was captured since he was at least off the front lines, although the one time they were being moved by train to a different camp and the train was strafed by American forces. The guy sitting next to him was killed by a bullet that came through the roof. They stopped the train, and the prisoners got out and quickly formed the letters "POW". That way the pilots knew it was Americans, and so tipped their wings and flew off. His division, the 99th infantry, was highly decorated - also the first to cross the Rhine. In a strange twist of fate, he was actually liberated by his own division. He described it as a "tearful reunion of alot of good buddies". When he retired, he and my Mom started attending the army reunions all over the US. We went along for one of them. Those guys had a bond that is hard to describe. It was really a moving experience to be part of the reunion events. Unfortunately, my Dad was already in the throes of dementia and so wasn't always sure of what was going on. He only went to one more after that. Edited November 12, 2021 by OnTheJourney 6

The supermarket turkeys are well fed and just a few months old and more tender. Edited November 12, 2021 by Coralc 2

Rare Lionesss Posted November 12, 2021 #37275 Share Posted November 12, 2021 For those of you who used to follow one of the original posters of live cruise threads (Trainman), his second wife Judith recently passed away. Copied this from a cruise blog that gave updates. ed Monday at 08:28 PM (edited) I was able to talk with Ron. Judith passed in early Oct. Of natural causes. She hadn't been verbal for a few months. She passed quietly of natural causes. She is missed. I am so thankful for all the friends this blog has brought together. On Dec. 13 I will start a new thread in memory of both Jim and Judith if that is OK with everyone.
