My mom was born just outside of Saskatoon and I've been there once years ago. One day my goal is to do a cross Canada road trip. I want to start in Tofino, BC and end at Sydney, NS. I like snow, unless it’s blowing sideways, which it was for some of today! If you visit, summer is better, unless you have a nice down parka! And studded tires.

Jets!" chants that broke out during today's Ranger game, followed by sporadic booing. Although the booing might have been directed at the Rangers who looked in charge for the first half of the game but threw away a 2-0 lead and lost 3-2 in OT to the Detroit Dead Things.😠
HBE4 Posted November 7, 2022 #77053 Share Posted November 7, 2022 It's almost midnight, Nov 6th in NY and it's still almost 70 f degrees & so humid that it feels down right tropical. Kind of regret taking out the window air-conditioners but no regrets turning off the heat. I have to check last year's bill but home heating oil is going for $5.40 a gallon!! I feel like that's double what I was paying last year. 2

Like all of you, I also had trouble signing in…. Besides, I’m reeling from the change of “climate” in Israel. A minority which doesn’t work, doesn’t serve (either in the army, police, health services), refuses to learn even math and English, will have the upper hand in our lives. Will send my boys to war, while their kids are safe…. I’m very sad, along with half the population, that our only country is lost. So sorry Dani, the moderates everywhere seem to be in decline 😔 1

Last night was their second and final attempt to obtain tickets for 2023. So, at 8pm on the dot when the second round of tickets were released, she had her phone, her laptop, my phone, plus her dad and her brother with their devices all set up in a family room. Her best friend in Sydney was doing the same at her house as was her best friend in England… From 8pm onwards, I would open the door to the room every 15mins and get a sad shake of heads. At 7.50pm, DH came out and said it’s not happening. At 7.55pm, I heard a shriek. Yes, her Sydney BF had finally secured 3 tickets, 5 mins before the event sold out. Congrats to your daughter and friend. It certainly is a big thing here. My nephew has been a few times and my eldest son a few years ago. Apparently the website crashed which was frustrating 1

I love Whales. On my recent ship excursion whale watching cruise, seeing the mother and calves and just hearing them almost brought tears to my eyes. For those of you who are ocean boaters, there's an app called Whale Alert that helps prevent whale strikes from boats. That's one of the leading causes of whales being killed.

Surprise is not what I was feeling. I think Josh said it best in his post game press conference opening statement..."It's tough to win in this league when you're playing a good team and your quarterback plays like s**t". Sums it up for me. He'll bounce back though...hopefully without any arm injuries.

Chiefs really sucked it up too. I can't believe they won. Mahomes pretty much had to do it himself since the O line played horrible. Kicker needs to be let go. He can kick it far bit he's not accurate. 2

BonTexasNY Posted November 7, 2022 #77071 Share Posted November 7, 2022 Crazy TX weather. Low 70s today and tomorrow. 80 on Wed., then the "deep freeze" starts on Fri for a few days with temps running a high of 50s, low 30s. We're a one car family and Jack has the car for a few hours running errands, appointments, etc. Good time to straighten this house up or....sit on the recliner, feet up as I'm doing now tooling around online. 9

BonTexasNY Posted November 7, 2022 #77074 Share Posted November 7, 2022 I don't drink much alcohol, Jack almost none, but his Kraken sure has me wondering. This laptop keyboard is very sensitive. It knocks me off and just a few seconds ago all of a sudden, a recipe website for chicken soup popped up which I would never use since I make the best chicken soup in existence.

I had bought one bottle, used it about 6 weeks ago before the remodel went into full gear and for the life of me can't find the bottle now. Everything is packed up and all over the spare bedrooms and just can't locate it now !! Checked all the fridges too, no where to be found.......... You think I have a Kraken Burglar? Need to get Kraken and find that bottle ! Think Lucy may have gotten into the Kracken when no one was looking?
