I can’t imagine not loving it.  I would’ve loved to visit the town my grandmother is from in Italy - Campobasso - but it’s not near anything.  I’ll settle from being in the country she’s from.

As I recall, Campobasso is situated approximately half way between the Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas and not quite as far south from Rome as Naples.

Seeing the houses that my grand parents were born in the first time I went to Italy was one of the highlights of the trip for me as well as meeting the family.

So now everything is booked!  I even made a restaurant reservation for our pre-cruise night in Miami. Anyone been to Dolores But You Can Call Me Lolita?

Looks interesting and I love the menu. Not sure where we will dine Saturday night. May just go out for burgers.

Check out Batch Gastropub which is attached to the Hampton.  We ate there in January and thought it was good.

I’ve fallen behind on my food porn. Two nights ago (our last night in San Fran), we ate at Hog Island Oysters in the Ferry Building. Started with a half dozen mixed oysters.

We’re now in Monterey. Had lunch yesterday at the Stillwater Bar and Grill overlooking the 18th hole at Pebble Beach. For a golfer, playing PB is a bucket list item. I didn’t have the time to play but could at least see the course and watch a few golfers finish their round. It was an overcast day but…it’s Pebble!

Pebble is for golfers and car lovers. As a semi golfer I will admit it looks better with cars all over the place. It doesn’t look as good as your food porn though. All of those dishes. 😋

I had the Rustic Seafood stew and washed it down with a local IPA. Micheline had a shrimp po’ boy sandwich but I missed getting a picture.

Last night’s dinner was at the Treehouse Cafe in Carmel. Another great meal. I had a huge piece of grilled sea bass and Micheline went with the yellow curry (which was spicier than advertised but tasty).

This was primarily a wine tasting trip but has turned into a great food tasting trip!

Those oysters and seafood stew are some of our favorites.   Delicious!!

I’ll get my fix of cars next weekend at The Amelia Concours. Can’t believe it’s been a year already.

When we go to Europe Next year, My Wife has some relatives in Cusano Mutri (is only 17 miles from  Campobasso)  She wants to go there, I think it's north of Naples and  East of Rome. Told here I'm not sure the Cruiseline will let us end the cruise in Naples and then just go to Rome on our own and stay a few days in Rome to explore.

Still have to check on all of that.

Yup, cruise lines have stopped downlining.  Read on a recent review that someone with a family member dying back at home was not granted permission by port authority/customs to disembark early.

Most cases the ship and/or passenger get fined a sizeable amount $$$$

I used to work a couple of blocks from the ferry in 60’s to late 70’s , they added loads of pubs a few blocks away really close to Frances tavern, with tables in the middle of the street . How was the play ?

That is the spot where we had amazing pizza outdoors under some sort of canopy.  The play was as everytime I have gone, excellent.  The Aaron Burr really was good.  Hamilton is obviously always good.  George Washington didn’t enunciate well,  but when he let go it was pretty powerful.  King George was excellent.

Good times.

We are off to St. Louis Sunday for the Muse concert at SLU’s basketball arena.

I'm told best to just buy 1 internet package for 2 devices, it will save you money. The Key really isn't worth it for a free lunch on boarding day at Chops, just not worth it when have to pay $46.00 a day( 2 persons buying the Key) for it.

Extra hour or maybe two on the FlowRider makes it worthwhile. 😉

I'm sure Charlie is happy to be home, and that you're glad to have him home as well.   I'm so sorry to hear that Charlie has issues that will require his seeing specialists.  You both are in my thoughts and prayers, Marietta.🙏

Weird Dudes, weird Music. I could barely get through the 4 minute video..........More power to you listening to that for 2 hours.

I think I rather find a flow rider somewhere............

I'm excited for your Mediterranean cruise, Deb.  I loved the two that we took.  I'm sure I mentioned it before, but we had a cruise to the Greek Islands leaving out of Venice in 2021 that was cancelled.  How I want to get to Venice sometime in the not so distant future.  (London, also)

Bonnie, we're flying to Marrakech when you're leaving the Oasis....

Managed to get DH the difficult to achieve visa... Our neighbors have roots there, visited several times, and took me through the steps. Also, we're going to get some "tips" on being in a real Arab country.

I was so focused on finding a convenient flight, that I didn't notice the Ramadan will start shortly after our arrival... They fast through the day, and only eat in the evenings, this -- a whole month.

Luckily, I have my Romanian (European) passport, so I needed visa just for the "peasant" 😉

It must be such a relief getting your DH's visa for your trip to Marrakech.   How great that your neighbors have been giving you some great tips for when you are there.

With all of the info that you've been sharing with Deb, as well as always being so helpful when anyone on our Dani's thread has cruise or other travelling questions, I wonder if you've ever given any thoughts on becoming a Travel Agent??🤔

Hey, is it okay if I go outside and play?

Wait, snow is on the way? Never mind. I come back inside now, please.

Today was fabulous.  Tomorrow will be 80 and sunny.  I've lived through enough NY winters to know how Leonard feels.

If I forget the occasional ice storm, hail, tornado, it's delightful to wear a short sleeve t-shirt all day outside in February.

On Friday, we had the wedding rehearsal on location at the Brisa Mar Palapa.  It is situated on a hilltop overlooking the sea that offers an absolutely amazing view.

After the rehearsal, we had all afternoon free before the Rehearsal Dinner at 5:30PM.  So we went and had lunch at the Choco Banana..  It was Sayulita Day so it was very busy in town with lots going on.

The Rehearsal Dinner was for family and close friends.  Dinner was a Taco Bar with an Open Bar that was set up at the restaurant/beach across from Hotel Ysuri, where we booked the entire hotel for this weekend.

My tacos

After the Rehearsal Dinner, there was a Welcome & Cocktail Party for all the wedding guests at the hotel. There were snacks and an Open Bar.

I didn’t take many pictures here.  There were lots of Hors d’oeuvres but I only took this one picture.  Spicy Tuna with Mango.
