All this talk about NYC and look where we were last night...

First we had drinks and dinner at The Smith (Broadway at 63rd Street). Then we went to Lady A concert at the Beacon Theatre.

Fun!

How did you like the Beccon theater, we had tickets to see Todd Rundgren there but covid canceled that , had seen him on a cruise and then after Covid in Dallas.

Tis the Season. @Sea Dog...Since last year kind of skipped over Christmas because our Kitchen remodel.

Have lots of trees this year!  Put up 8 trees yesterday. Only 2 so far are decorated. Will show all the trees again when all are decorated.

All the trees have some kind of theme. First 2 are 9 ft. Trees, others are all 7 1/2 ft. Except the last tree which is a table top tree about 3 ft.

Sometimes I like them just lit up without decorations.

It's way too early to even think about Christmas decorations in our house.

I wait until Thanksgiving is over.   We usually get fresh cut tree a week or two before Christmas.

It seems to me laws should be reversed citizens in Israel specially in Gaza Strip area should have been allowed guns and here in Texas they should at least have a valid reason to carry .

In America we do have a valid reason.  It is called the 2nd Amendment.

Jim and our grandsons cut ours at a Christmas Tree Farm, along with our daughters and SIL.  Our daughter gets 16 foot trees that go all the way up to her high ceilings.  They use a high ladder to decorate the tree.  I'll try to remember to take a picture this year, and hope I remember how to post it on here.😉

On the Phillies tree, shouldn't there be a few ornaments of cars being flipped over and trash cans set on fire? 🤣🤣

😇

Just kidding good buddy, sorry for your teams loss. It was a stunner. Hopefully I didn't jinx them by offering my condolences a game early.😬

I'm the same way, I like taking my holidays one at a time. I just came back from buying Halloween candy at Rite Aid & refused to even glance at the Christmas decor on the other side of the aisle. lol

And don't get me started on stores that start piping in Christmas music on Nov 1st!  I love Christmas music - probably have over 125-150 Christmas CD's (mostly bought by DW) but I don't want to be sick of it by Dec 1st!

No disrespect to those whose enthusiasm starts early.

Having said that, @Jimbo love your 9 themed trees in different rooms and @singinalot, hope your tree is cheering up your home! @Sea Dog, I have no doubt even your slimmed down decorations will be spectacular.

I haven't been to the Beacon Theater in decades but loved going there. No bad seat in the house. I think the last concert I saw there was TSO before they become big so, 20+ years ago maybe??

Many of Jack's friends in Israel have guns.

I worked with many people here in TX who had guns.  One co worker was a 24 year old girl, one a 55 year old woman.  Both claimed they have guns for personal safety. Very liberal laws for sure.

Most people I know own guns including me , but wish there were more restrictions, too many mass shootings .

Beautifully restored and a great place for a concert.

Apologies for my lack of knowledge, but when I read Iron Dome I visualised an invisible dome shape above the city.  Just did my research and realise it is a defence system that intercepts missiles and rockets built in 2011 and has had significant funding from the US Govt.

I’m embarrassed to admit I was unfamiliar with the Iron Dome until Dani mentioned it a while back when Israel was being fired upon yet again in a different attack. Amazing technology and thankful that Israel has this to defend herself.
