what was your favorite excursion in Cozumel? or did you just get off the ship and walk around? are there shops near the ship?

Paradise Beach All inclusive. An amazing place.  We have gone there for years!

Nachi Cocom if you want to sit at the beach/pool, all inclusive drinks and food.  Lovely venue, great staff, and they limit the number of guests so its not crowded.  We have also done Mr. Sanchos - right next to Nachi Cocom - same benefits, cost, etc. but more people.  It also has more water sports (for an additional cost).  Have also done the Cozumel Bar Hop once - it was a great way to see the other side of the island - one small drink per venue and enough time at one bar to get some food.  It was ok - loved the views and bars we went to, but it was a once and done for me.

Tulum and beach

We also like renting a car and driving around the island stopping in beach area, they Punta Sur and continuing on “wild” side. There are also small Mayan  ruins in Cozumel

We take a taxi to Chakanaab Park which has many things to do for an entrance fee of about $21. You can swim with the dolphins and manatees, zip line, see a sea lion show, swim in a pool or rhe Gulf, snorkel, visit a replica Mayan ruin botanical garden or just sit on the beach or lounge in a hammock. Taxis are readily available right outside to take you back to the ship when you’re ready.

Going to give that a try in November

Don’t forget cash only on the east side. Hopefully the sargassum will have cleared by then although Bar hop is not too affected other than Rasta’s.

All good suggestions but a lot depends on the ages of your group and what you enjoy doing. Also budget. Some are AI, some PAYG, some adult only, quiet/active? Difficult to make suggestions without knowing what you require or even which pier you will be at. Lots of options in Cozumel.

OP, you didn't say what you like to do or what type of things you are looking for? A lot would depend on if your group likes active things, beach people, sight seeing, action packed? There are so many things to do there. We've done almost all of the beaches from laid back to ones with water toys. We've done a tour around the island and over to the Wild Side and Punta Sur ecological park. We've done dune buggy's to Jade Caverns. We've done scuba diving, Sea Trek walk, Pearl Farm, Parasailing and a snorkel tour that took us snorkeling and to the sand bar where there were tons of starfish.

What is your group interested in?

We loved Paradise Beach with the add on of the inflatable waterpark. It was just the ticket price for the waterpark and then you had to buy some food or drinks while there. We were traveling with 2 adults and 2 older elementary age kids.

Not necessarily on a cruise but my ideal thing in Cozumel would be SCUBA. A lot depends on your interests. This upcoming cruise (with teens) we are doing a food tour with Cozumel Chef.

Enjoy the food tour!

Paradise is definitely pushing AI these days.
