I know you will be so glad to be home. Even though it wasn't the vacation you had planned, it's clear you handled the situation with excellence and made the best of the situation. I hope to read the thread on your next "Live From" where you lift a glass to this adventure.

And like others, thank you for posting the details and choices, as we all can benefit. It must have been really tough to put a good face on the situation, but you nailed it. Hope Jim continues to recover and there are no long-term issues.

We arrived in Charlotte. We're in the lounge waiting for our flight to Jacksonville.

It is so good to be on US soil.

Jim is tired and sore, but okay.

We'll stay in JAX tonight and drive home tomorrow.

Thanks again for all your well wishes.

Terri

Glad to hear that you are safely back in the USA.

Have a safe drive home today.

We're home. Finally!

The drive was uneventful.

I have been unpacking all day. Jim napped and I am exhausted.

I finished my luggage and tomorrow I will tackle his.

Tomorrow I will tackle his.

Thank you all again for all your well wishes and prayers. Tuesday we will get the stitches out and will try to get an appointment at the Mayo Clinic for a follow-up to find out what really happened here.

Glad you're home. :) Get some rest, both of you.

I'm glad you're both home safely. What an experience! Thank you for sharing it with us, and hope we helped a teeny bit when you need it. I know we all learned a lot from what happened to you. Hope DH is feeling way better now, so nice to be in your own bed, eh?:)

Terri the unpacking can wait, you now need your rest so you will have the strength to finish up with Dr. appointments etc. I just hope if I am ever in your situation that I will be able to deal with it even half as good as you.

Continued recovery for Jim as well, our prayers are still with you.

I am so glad that you are home and rest for a couple of days before you have to run around and get Jim's stitches out, etc.

The unpacking can wait.

After that long flight -- you both need to rest.

Don't want anyone else to get sick.
