Aren't we blessed to be able to enjoy such lovely mornings.:)

OK, is today the day the new sailings are being released for early winter 2016?

Fingers crossed.

I imagine you get better sunsets, much more civilized

Don't be too disappointed if the info isn't released today. The schedule calls for their release "the week of March 9th" and in past years that hasn't meant "on that exact date". Frequently the release has come mid-week rather than on the first day of the week.:)

I was thinking the timeline is tight. I read recently that the HAL Koningsdam was recently delayed 6 weeks and has already been floated out... delivery in mid-March. Ovation and Harmony recently had keel laid and are due out in April. I know other things go into launch dates, but this is a odd.

Maybe the whole building process has been sped up. Recall in the Anthem Construction thread that Master Schnief posted a photo of Ovation and Escape blocks being built in Hall 5. Since the building dock in Hall 5 is not being used lately for a new build of that size, its being used to build blocks and store for Hall 6 builds. It is also possible that all the keel blocks for Ovation have already been built but not shipped to the yard yet.

Yes. I just looked at Norwegian Escape. Her keel was laid on Sept. 19, 2014 and she sails from Hamburg on October 25th. So, just 13 months.

So, if they have Ovation on the same schedule somehow, the late April deployment would fit.

Now, just to figure out where she is going.

I guess that May 8th Anthem Gibraltar booking could be the only actual clue, but most likely still a mistake left over from when they had her booked out of Southampton.

I was thinking the same thing with having the blocks already constructed.

The 2014 annual report listed a spring delivery date and that was only released 2 weeks ago so I would still expect the spring delivery.

Accorrding to the order book NCL Escape is scheduled to be delivered October 2015. So they will have to build and float out two Ovation mega blocks prior to that. Can they complete Ovation in six months after Escape leaves the building dock? I think very likely.

Is there any scenario whereby Ovation could sail from a Florida port (PC or FE) part time similar to the original plan that was in place for Anthem sailing winters from PE?

I had thought the Anthem bookings at Gran Cayman from November 2016 to April 2017 every 14th day might had been Ovation, but it now appears not.

They could be Anthem continuing on a 9 day / 5 day pattern from Bayonne or could be used by the other ships on the deployment or some changed or cancelled.

just had a look at https://www.abparking.co.uk/ which manages the parking at southampton terminal RCL use and they have both Adventure of the Seas and Anthem of the seas as being in southampton next year. I presume as Anthem is in Cape liberty next year that this is Ovation?

Thanks for this find. It does provide good information.

Anthem and Adventure originally held the Southampton bookings for the 2016 season at all ports and they were changed between November and February to Navigator and Indy at most ports. They probably have used these original bookings to set up their calendar.

What is interesting there is that they have all the sail dates from Southampton marked there.

Another thing interesting is that there seems to not be a 3rd ship at Southampton and that was one theory floating, that Ovation, Navigator and Indy would all be there and that RCI might pull out of Harwich.

So does Ovation show up anywhere in Europe at this point?

With the evidence of the Brilliance cancelations in Norway and then the disappearance now of Adventure from most port calendars in Norway, is there any new evidence to support that RCI have not pulled out from Harwich?

http://www.stranda-hamnevesen.no/GeirangerfjordenCPGD2016

I posted a list of ships last week, where my intention was to state that only Ovation and Vision deployments were somewhat incomplete. It appears all other ships have been deployed to the Caribbean, Canada, Bermuda, Alaska and Asia and Australia and Europe.

Regarding Harwich, it might well be that RCI drops down those sailings - if RCI would sail from both Harwich and Copenhagen in 2016, than one ship more would also do Canada/NE in 2016, and there are only 3 ships in 2016.

I COULD imagine that Navi sails the Harwich itineraries and than switches to Canada/NE (Ovation/Indy from Southampton) and those itineraries will be announced later, but I am not sure...

To be honest, I rather see Navi and Indy sailing from Southampton.

Seems to be like that Brilliance will leave Harwich and switch to Barcelona for the 12 night runs from there...

No, Anthem (Ovation) bookings all replaced by Indy between November, 2014 and February and only one remaining is a May 8, 2016 Anthem call at Gibraltar along with some Rome calls that have not been updated.

Adventure bookings first replaced by Navigator in MED, then Adventure bookings in Baltic and Norway are being cancelled now, with no Ovation bookings showing yet.

.

China is looking more and more likely for Ovation.

I think the TA would be more relaxing for you...but a short sailing in April would help recharge your batteries :D

I am leaning towards the TA and I know quite a few of the group are thinking the same...we shall see.

Ohh for some Florida sunshine :D

Hi Liz, I would like to do the TA on the Ovation or the Harmony so if you are planing on the Harmony I will do that one, let me know and then you can meet my DH Bob:eek::cool:

While Vision is last found at Dubrovnik and Venice in November 2016, is there any evidence that she will head to Dubai or to South America? I guess one of these will have to be dropped as well.

Just as I found that Splendour completely disappeared after Venice several months ago, I am not finding Ovation and she is supposedly being released at the same time as Harmony in April 2016.

The only thing close to Ovation bookings are an Anthem call at Gibraltar on Sunday the 8th of May, 2016 that I had thought was a mistake.

With the keel for Ovation just laid at the end of last week, has it not been 18 months from this date prior to any sailing previously. Would that not push Ovation to sailing first around September of 2016?

I noticed that as well. In the press release, Adventure was doing San Juan year round. I think they are confusing themselves as well as us.

Adventure does show up in Copenhagen which has just been updated.

Maybe RCL will soon announce the purchase of a 4th Quantum Class ship delivery around 2019 and then we'll have two in Asia and another two in the US / Caribbean. Further, it wouldn't suprise me to have RCL also plan a new class of ships replacing the remaining Vision Class ships of size somewhere between Vision and Voyager Class with Delivery around 2020.

Copenhagen will probably change it to Navigator from Southampton. Serenade shows weekly and Brilliance shows regular visits.

I don't see how they could bring out two new ships at the same time, that would mean two start up teams, I think perhaps someone made a mistake when they said April 2016 for Ovation.

They only way they could perhaps have two ships come out at once is if one was going straight to China...so it would have a different start up team...perhaps staff from Quantum would go over to Ovation for the start up as they would have gained experience on Quantum already.

There was talk onboard Quantum's inaugural, which was not denied, that RCI was hoping to bring the Ovation and Harmony out simultaneously. Apparently the management were quite excited as it would be a company first!!

I am getting dizzy with all this :o....can someone please clarify something for me please...is there any chance Harmony could be sailing from Southampton rather than Barcelona ?
