I'm guessing before the global Odyssey. Her sailing from Singapore to shanghai is now closed (for the obvious reason)

So possibly dry from from March 19 to Apr 9???

Another possibility is a few more Singapore sailing and then dry dock in Freeport

The Shanghai sailing has already been sold out for quite a few months already. That sailing has disappeared from the RCL website.

I doubt they are going to add more Singapore sailings. Therefore March 19 to April 9 which is a 3 week drydock. Is a 3 week drydock enough to transform her to suit America? If they are going to add things like flowrider, water slides and maybe the additional cabins on Deck 12

I imagine that they will remove the high roller casino in the Connoisseur Club and make it back in to either a cigar lounge or card/game room. :D

I hate to see majesty go. Last of the sovereign class. As of now, Empress is the largest ship Havana can handle, so it's not an option. Us"old school" cruisers remember when the itinerary was the draw, not the gimmicks. I miss those days.:loudcry:

Norwegian Sky and Carnival Fantasy class go to Havanna, equal size to Majesty so she or Vision class could go as well.

Gasp, no circumnavigating AU? That's disappointing. Or am I going blind?

Exactly, mostly r/t sailings to the same old ports. Anyone wanting circumnavigation on an RCCL family ship has Celebrity only, same for anyone wanting to sail to or from Freo.

We got a flyer in our cabin last night on Jewel stating Mariner is coming to Barcelona and will do a Ta. I will post more details tomorrow as I forgot to take a pic. They will go on sale next week with Singapore to Dubai to Barcelona. Voyager is Monington take over from Mariner in Singapore

The Singapore all the way to Miami sounds very interesting.

I did a little checking and the flight to Singapore is a bit of a deterrent. It is both long and pricy. I would like to do it but the cruise will need to be reasonable to balance the air costs.

Norwegian Air have very competitive pricing and are about to start flying to Singapore some time later this year - may be worth checking out

I would think Singapore or somewhere in Asia since dry dock would be much cheaper and then she will turn up in the US all bright and shiny and ready to go.

I still don't think the math would work - the list of items would likely be more than the 3 weeks from 3/19 to the 4/9 departure. Freeport has already upgraded Adventure - so they could easily do the same for Mariner. Of course they could also split up the work - do the marine required stuff in Singapore and other stuff like Flowrider install in Freeport. There was an article about how busy Freeport is and their lack of availability fairly far out.

That is a huge factor. Singapore is a LONG way from the West Coast. If I were going to do it, I would split up the trip in Tokyo, or similar. Still the matter of the cost, however. Still tempting, if you don't look too closely at the details, lol!

I think it'll release on the 15th also for Crown and Anchor members like they did for the Symphony release?

With RCI, as I'm sure you've noticed, anything is possible. Hopefully they will release the sailings a day early to C&A.

Singapore Airlines is currently offering RT fares from SFO to SIN for $1197, Economy Plus, with a stop in either NRT or SEL. Not bad.

Would using Choice Air as a one way work to SIN .... and booking your MIA-home independently ?

We've done LAX-SIN via NRT for our Mariner Asia cruise and it wasn't that bad actually.

We used Air2Sea to book a one way from Singapore to LAX (after the Ovation repo) and it was around $750 on Singapore Air. Great flight with a short stopover in Tokyo. Not crazy expensive!

Any more info as to start date & port stops. Enjoy your Rhapsody TA. :)

The initial announcement said April 9 departure from Singapore. I'm betting the itinerary will be the same as Legend two months ago till Barcelona.
