Well first day in London went well , arrived at 9.30 this morning and dropped suit case of at hotel which is lovely at very central in Mayfair, went to green park to see the elephants display them on too fortnum and mason for a cup of tea and biscuits, other half had a coffee which came with a mini ice cream 😂 then on to Hard Rock Cafe for lunch and we were treated to going down to the vaults which was originally the very first Bank of England and also held princess Diana’s wedding dress, but now storing all the pop stars guitars and the Beatles drum kit , was very interesting but I won’t post all the photos. Tomorrow is borough market and maybe Harrods and then on to Ken Kerridges for a late dinner, I’m certainly spending my cruise money 😂😂refund

Fabulous photos Sandra - thanks for those. What a wonderful time you're having. Hope you enjoy the Tom Kerridge experience - love Tom Kerridge. I hope you're finding London quiet enough. Spend that money well! Jane.x

Best I've seen in far too long a time Zap. For the Swiss it was all about the team, not the individuals. Brilliant. Jane.x

Brilliant to see attacking football played at great tempo with players not constrained in using their skills. Compare that to the negative, boring, turgid football England seem to specialise in playing. Maybe tonight will be different but somehow I doubt it. On last night’s news, they showed England players practicing their walk up to take a penalty if a shootout is needed. Just let them get on with using their footballing instinct and play their natural game.

Here endeth the lesson from the Stoke City season ticket holder.

I have heard that all children over 3 have to wear a mask at Monkey World. Maybe check it out.

Pouring down here in Kent.

We haven't seen sight nor sound of that thing called a sun for days and days.

It’s 20 degrees and sunny here, has been all week which is most unusual. May was freezing, June very hot. The weather is all out of kilter.

I don’t care who is playing, personally I think the Euros should not have gone ahead. Looking at the rises in covid it is generally amongst young males - those who have been gathering to watch matches.

I also think that the “important vips” should not be allowed to dodge quarantine either for the final. It seems ridiculous that there are still so many restrictions on most aspects of life - except football!

Same goes for the climate change event.

What do you expect when it is Wimbledon?

Those elephants are  fantastic,  aren't they.  I did not know about them, but would dearly love to see them.

We should have been in British Columbia this week. It is a tad warm there at the moment. 45+oC.🥵

That would kill me!

I am a cold weather creature having lived most of my life with below zero in the winter and not far above in the summer. The weather is definitely hotter than it was in years gone by.

Sounds like you’re having a great time!

How busy is it up there? I’m thinking of going up on Friday to mooch around St James’ Park & Piccadilly areas.

To be fair, there are more than just the three of us. Passing a certain age 4 months ago saved me 25% on next season’s ticket.
