To save some "monies", we switched to a cheaper provider and lost the BBC Prime along the way.

Missing the reruns of '"Last of the summer wine", "Keeping up appearances". "Hello Hello" and many many others. A few days ago we found an old video cassette with the 2 Ronnies....😁

For the last 6 +/- months I have been watching the reruns of Keeping up Appearances too.    Bucket (pronounced Bouquet), she's too much!     I have also been watching As Time Goes By.     They both air on Saturday night.

I am not taking the vaccine for a while.Too many people have had nearly fatal side effects and several have died.

My wife is a retired RN .When she is ready to take it I will probably do so too.

I have not heard about fatal side effects or deaths.     Was this during trial studies or recent?    Which one?

I think he has been playing it up and says he cannot mix and shake shake so somehow I end up getting him one.    I know I am sucker.    I just hope he remembers it when I need help someday.

Yes, I remember also "As time goes by". He died just 2 months ago.

Sometimes, when DH drives and I say: "be careful", he quotes Hyacinth's "mind the bicycle, dear""......

Actually, he is looking for a car where the passenger's seat faces backwards.... 🤪

Hopefully you will do well

I think the odds are in my favor.  They do have you sit there for 15 minutes to make sure there is no immediate reaction.  The only death I know of is one in Florida and that has not been linked to the vaccine.  Just someone who died several weeks after receiving the vaccine.  Currently 4.6 million people have received the vaccine.

A friend of mine was on Judge Judy years ago. He said both sides were put in small rooms with a wall separating them. The producers met with each litigant and spoke smack talk about the other to get them all riled up. Each person could hear everything.

I don't remember all the details. I think he did get free air, 1 night in a cheap hotel and a measly appearance fee. He did win the case. He ran an estate sale company and a woman bought some junk jewelry. She and her daughter were going to do some craft and she stuck herself with a pin. Got blood poisoning. She sued him. I think one of the reasons he won is the dumb lady also tried to sue his witness who had nothing to do with the company. When Judge Judy heard about it she went ballistic like only she can.

Where have you heard that people have died from the side effects of any of the approved Covid19 vaccines?  If that is true it has been completely off the news here.  Some people have had allergic reactions, but as far as I know no one has died.  While I am a skeptic about how many people have actually died from the virus, I know lots have.  I am unaware that any have died of the vaccine.

On another note.  According to the news, nobody is dying with the flu this year.... amazing.  Covid19 cured the flu.

So, one of our employees was best friends with Brad Pitt in high school.  1985.  Brad was best man at his first wedding.  One of the shows invited him to LA, maybe Maury Povich, and put him up in a fancy hotel to tell stories about Brad.  Which he did. Brad basically disowned him, and never spoke to him again.  My boss about 12 years ago fired the guy for watching porn at work.

CBS on Freeview shows several hours each day of Judge Judy.

We watched other programs like the home buying.

A Place in the Sun.

We are very fond and familiar with the show “A place in the sun”. It’s a bit of escapism just now, making us quite jealous of better times but we know these times will be back with us soon.

We also watch “Tipping Point” on telly whilst preparing our evening meal, and we usually get great entertainment with some of the answers given. Unbelievable how some of these people get on tv at all. Here are some examples of answers given this week -

Q - What English County has a black flag with a white cross?
A - Wales

Q - Fletcher Christian led a mutiny on which ship?
A - The Titanic.

Q - In a standard deck of cards, there are two black suites. Spades is one, what is the other?
A - Aces

Q - The fandango originated in which European country?
A - Argentina

Q- how many tracks does a monorail have?
A - I know this one because we were in Disneyland last BUZZZZZ year, its two...
Ben - out of time.

He spent so long waffling about his holiday he missed the buzzer and was wrong as well.

One of my all-time favourite shows 😁

We are having a 3 day lock down in Brisbane this weekend (UK strain community transmission 😢) and I am going to binge watch ‘The Office’ on Netflix

Porridge with Ronnie Barker and

Only fools and horses with David Jason are classic UK comedies.

You just made me realize something...  normally, when work does the “free flu shot” clinic, they have you sit and wait 15 minutes, before you leave the building.  This year, it was a drive up clinic, and you just drove away right away?!!  Hmmm.  Wonder what they’ll do for the covid one?

Have you watched Shitt’$ Creek yet?  We loved it!!!  It’s perfect for binging, and the shows are short.

Ours was not drive up.  They had an area with seats apart from each other.  They were very serious about the time.  You had a paper with the time of the shot on it and then to leave you had to check out showing your paper with the time.  The emergency management director did mention that with drive thru there had to be an area to park and wait for 15 minutes.  I guess they thought this worked better and since it was by appointment they could limit the number of people there at any one time.

Update on how I feel.  My arm is a little sore but not as sore as my last flu shot.  Other than that I feel fine.

We made it back to Florida.  So much nicer spending winter in warmth and sunshine.  Now we just need to get stuff to fill the house.  We filled 2 cars with as much as we could (mostly kitchen supplies and a second bed for guests) but still left most of our belongings in Ohio.  Twelve foot ceilings, tile floors, and drywall, without a single "soft" item in the house means we currently have a big echo chamber.

Glad to hear it!  My arm is usually sore for days after the regular flu shot.  Will be nice if it's not the case with this one 🙂  But, since I'm youngish, and not in any of the special groups, I probably won't be eligible for one, for a long time.  Actually, since I work in the packaged food industry, there has been talk we might be higher on the list, but I want to wait until the people who are more at risk get theirs.  Since DH and I are both WFH, we have a pretty safe little bubble 🙂
